LET'S COME TO TERMS WITH THE FAITH OF THE FIRST CENTURY When a tenant under a lease violates
the Apartment Rental Agreement with his Landlord, allowing unsanitary
conditions, fire-hazards, etc, he becomes a covenant-breaker and must
suffer the penalty.
Let’s talk about covenants. Avraham Avinu was promised HaAretz
(The Land, see Jer 16:15 and 23:3-8 and Ezek 11:17 and 34:13 and 36:24 and 36:28 and 39:25-29 and Hos 1:10-11 and Joel 3:17-21 and Am 9:11-15 and Mic 4:4-7 and Zeph 3:14-20 and Zech 8:4-8).
Avraham Avinu was promised
Zera (Seed of Dovid,
i.e., Moshiach, see Ps 89:3(4)-4(5) and Ps 89:34(35)-36(37) and
Isa 9:6-7 and Jer 23:5-6 and 30:8-9 and 33:14-17 and 33:20-21 and
Ezek 37:24-25 and Hos 3:4-5 and Am 9:11 and Zech
14:3-9). Avraham Avinu was promised
Berakhot (Blessings, including the Brit Chadasha where the Torah would be written on the
heart, not just on tablets of stone, see Jer 31:31 and also verses 32-34 and Ezek 11:19-20 and 16:60-62 and 36:24-28 and 37:26-28 and Isa 59:21 and 61:8-9). Look at Gn
12:1-4 and 13:14-18 and 15:1-21 and 17:1-21. This promise of Land, Seed, and
Blessings was enhanced by the covenant made with
Dovid HaMelech. Look at 2Sm 7:12-17 and 23:5 and Ps 89:3(4) and 89:27(28)-37(38) and
89:49(50) and Ps 132:11-12. The Sinai Covenant was in charge of
the Jews to bring them to faith in Moshiach, but
not so that they would look at themselves and at their mitzvahs and boast in their own righteousness and in what
they had done as tzaddikim but so that they
would look to Hashem and see what He had done in
His Chen v’Chesed mercy for them and for the
Yeshuos Elokeinu. When we try to find a way to justify
ourselves before Hashem, we are going our own
way and not the Derech Hashem, which is the Derech
Moshiach.
Will you also resist the Word of Hashem
given through the prophet Jeremiah and suffer the eviction of Gehinnom rather than turn in faith to allow the Torah
to be written on your heart (Jeremiah 31:31-34). Moshiach, the
hope of glory, knocks at the door of your heart right now, ready to put
the dahm of the Seh on
your heart’s doorposts, making possible your salvation from the Nega and your Exodus to Chayei Olam. Moshiach will not take
away anything in Scripture that defines your identity as a Jew. Moshiach came
not to destroy the Torah or the mitzvahs but to fulfill them. But how will you convince yourself you
are fulfilling a mitzvah by stubbornly turning in unbelief from Moshiach ben Dovid You don't believe he was Moshiach Ben Dovid? Do you
love the praise of men more than the praise of
