Tehillim 83 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

שִׁ֖יר SDBH A song מִזְמ֣וֹר SDBH A Psalm לְאָסָֽף׃ SDBH of Asaph אֱלֹהִ֥ים SDBH O G-d אַל־ {be} not דֳּמִי־ SDBH silent לָ֑ךְ אַל־ {be} not תֶּחֱרַ֖שׁ SDBH speechless וְאַל־ {be} not תִּשְׁקֹ֣ט SDBH still אֵֽל׃ SDBH O G-d

(Shir. Mizmor of Asaph). Keep not Thou silent, O Elohim; hold not Thy peace, and be not still, O El (G-d).

כִּֽי־ how הִנֵּ֣ה See א֭וֹיְבֶיךָ SDBH Your enemies יֶהֱמָי֑וּן SDBH rage וּ֝מְשַׂנְאֶ֗יךָ SDBH how Your foes נָ֣שְׂאוּ SDBH have reared רֹֽאשׁ׃ SDBH their heads

For, hinei, Thine oyevim are in tumult; and they that hate Thee have lifted up the rosh.

עַֽל־ against עַ֭מְּךָ SDBH Your people יַעֲרִ֣ימוּ SDBH With cunning ס֑וֹד SDBH they scheme וְ֝יִתְיָעֲצ֗וּ SDBH and conspire עַל־ against צְפוּנֶֽיךָ׃ SDBH those You cherish

They lay out a crafty conspiracy against Amecha (Thy people), and plot against Tzefunecha (Thy sheltered, protected, hidden ones).

אָמְר֗וּ SDBH saying לְ֭כוּ SDBH Come וְנַכְחִידֵ֣ם SDBH let us erase them מִגּ֑וֹי SDBH as a nation וְלֹֽא־ SDBH no יִזָּכֵ֖ר SDBH be remembered שֵֽׁם־ SDBH may the name יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל SDBH of Israel עֽוֹד׃ more

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a goy (nation); that the shem Yisroel may be no more remembered.

כִּ֤י For נוֹעֲצ֣וּ SDBH they plot לֵ֣ב SDBH with one mind יַחְדָּ֑ו SDBH together עָ֝לֶ֗יךָ against You בְּרִ֣ית SDBH an alliance יִכְרֹֽתוּ׃ SDBH they form

For they have plotted together with one lev; they cut a brit against Thee;

אָהֳלֵ֣י SDBH the tents אֱ֭דוֹם SDBH of Edom וְיִשְׁמְעֵאלִ֗ים SDBH and the Ishmaelites מוֹאָ֥ב SDBH of Moab וְהַגְרִֽים׃ SDBH and the Hagrites

The ohalim Edom, and the Yishm'elim; of Moav, and the Hagerim;

גְּבָ֣ל SDBH [of] Gebal וְ֭עַמּוֹן SDBH Ammon וַעֲמָלֵ֑ק SDBH and Amalek פְּ֝לֶ֗שֶׁת SDBH [of] Philistia עִם־ with יֹ֥שְׁבֵי SDBH the people צֽוֹר׃ SDBH of Tyre

Geval, and Ammon, and Amalek; Peleshet (Philistia) with the inhabitants of Tzor;

גַּם־ SDBH Even אַ֭שּׁוּר SDBH Assyria נִלְוָ֣ה SDBH has joined עִמָּ֑ם them הָ֤י֥וּ lending זְר֖וֹעַ SDBH strength לִבְנֵי־ SDBH to the sons ל֣וֹט SDBH of Lot סֶֽלָה׃ SDBH Selah

Assyria also is joined with them; they are the zero'a (strong arm) of the Bnei Lot. Selah.

עֲשֵֽׂה־ SDBH Do לָהֶ֥ם to them כְּמִדְיָ֑ן SDBH as You did to Midian כְּֽסִֽיסְרָ֥א SDBH as to Sisera כְ֝יָבִ֗ין SDBH and Jabin בְּנַ֣חַל SDBH at the River קִישֽׁוֹן׃ SDBH Kishon

Do unto them as unto Midyan; as to Sisra, as to Yavin, at the Wadi Kishon [see Shofetim chp 4-8];

נִשְׁמְד֥וּ SDBH who perished בְֽעֵין־ SDBH vvv דֹּ֑אר SDBH at Endor הָ֥יוּ and became דֹּ֝֗מֶן SDBH [like] dung לָאֲדָמָֽה׃ SDBH on the ground

Which became shmad at Ein-Dor; they became like domen (dung, fertilizer) for ha'adamah.

שִׁיתֵ֣מוֹ SDBH Make נְ֭דִיבֵמוֹ SDBH their nobles כְּעֹרֵ֣ב SDBH like Oreb וְכִזְאֵ֑ב SDBH and Zeeb וּֽכְזֶ֥בַח SDBH like Zebah וּ֝כְצַלְמֻנָּ֗ע SDBH and Zalmunna כָּל־ and all נְסִיכֵֽמוֹ׃ SDBH their princes

Make their nobles like Orev, and like Ze'ev; yes, all their princes like Zevach, and like Tzalmunna;

אֲשֶׁ֣ר SDBH who אָ֭מְרוּ SDBH said נִ֣ירֲשָׁה SDBH Let us possess לָּ֑נוּ for ourselves אֵ֝֗ת SDBH נְא֣וֹת SDBH the pastures אֱלֹהִֽים׃ SDBH of G-d

Who said, Let us take possession for ourselves of the pasturelands of Elohim.

אֱ‍ֽלֹהַ֗י SDBH O my G-d שִׁיתֵ֥מוֹ SDBH Make them כַגַּלְגַּ֑ל SDBH like tumbleweed כְּ֝קַ֗שׁ SDBH like chaff לִפְנֵי־ before רֽוּחַ׃ SDBH the wind

O Elohai, make them like galgal (tumbleweed); like chaff before the ruach (wind).

כְּאֵ֥שׁ SDBH As fire תִּבְעַר־ SDBH consumes יָ֑עַר SDBH a forest וּ֝כְלֶהָבָ֗ה SDBH as a flame תְּלַהֵ֥ט SDBH sets הָרִֽים׃ SDBH the mountains {ablaze}

As the eish consumeth the forest, and as the flame setteth ablaze harim;

כֵּ֭ן SDBH so תִּרְדְּפֵ֣ם SDBH pursue them בְּסַעֲרֶ֑ךָ SDBH with Your tempest וּבְסוּפָתְךָ֥ SDBH with Your storm תְבַהֲלֵֽם׃ SDBH and terrify them

So pursue them with Thy sa'ar (tempest, storm), and make them afraid with Thy storm.

16

מַלֵּ֣א SDBH Cover פְנֵיהֶ֣ם their faces קָל֑וֹן SDBH with shame וִֽיבַקְשׁ֖וּ SDBH that they may seek שִׁמְךָ֣ SDBH Your name יְהוָֽה׃ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi

Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek Shimcha, Hashem.

17

יֵבֹ֖שׁוּ SDBH May they be ever ashamed וְיִבָּהֲל֥וּ SDBH and terrified עֲדֵי־ SDBH . . . עַ֗ד SDBH - וְֽיַחְפְּר֥וּ SDBH in disgrace וְיֹאבֵֽדוּ׃ SDBH may they perish

Let them be put to shame and dismayed adei ad (forever); yes, let them perish in disgrace;

18

וְֽיֵדְע֗וּ SDBH May they know כִּֽי־ that אַתָּ֬ה SDBH You שִׁמְךָ֣ SDBH whose name יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi לְבַדֶּ֑ךָ SDBH alone עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן SDBH are Most High עַל־ over כָּל־ all הָאָֽרֶץ׃ SDBH the earth

Let them have da'as that Thou alone, Shimcha Hashem, art Elyon al kol HaAretz.
