Tehillim 21 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ SDBH For the choirmaster מִזְמ֥וֹר SDBH A Psalm לְדָוִֽד׃ SDBH of David יְֽהוָ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi בְּעָזְּךָ֥ SDBH in Your strength יִשְׂמַח־ SDBH rejoices מֶ֑לֶךְ SDBH the king וּ֝בִישׁ֥וּעָתְךָ֗ SDBH in Your salvation מַה־ SDBH How יָּ֥גֶיל SDBH greatly מְאֹֽד׃ he exults

(For the one directing. Mizmor Dovid) Melech shall have simcha in Thy strength, Hashem; and in Thy Yeshuah (salvation) how greatly shall he rejoice!

תַּאֲוַ֣ת SDBH desire לִ֭בּוֹ SDBH heart’s נָתַ֣תָּה You have granted לּ֑וֹ his וַאֲרֶ֥שֶׁת SDBH the request שְׂ֝פָתָ֗יו SDBH of his lips בַּל־ SDBH and have not מָנַ֥עְתָּ SDBH withheld סֶּֽלָה׃ SDBH Selah

Thou hast given him the desire of his lev, and hast not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

כִּֽי־ For תְ֭קַדְּמֶנּוּ SDBH You welcomed him בִּרְכ֣וֹת SDBH blessings ט֑וֹב SDBH with rich תָּשִׁ֥ית SDBH You placed לְ֝רֹאשׁ֗וֹ SDBH on his head עֲטֶ֣רֶת SDBH a crown פָּֽז׃ SDBH of pure gold

For Thou meeteth him with the birkhot tov; Thou settest an ateret of pure gold on his head.

חַיִּ֤ים׀ SDBH life שָׁאַ֣ל SDBH He asked You for מִ֭מְּךָ . . . נָתַ֣תָּה and You granted it לּ֑וֹ אֹ֥רֶךְ SDBH length יָ֝מִ֗ים SDBH of days עוֹלָ֥ם SDBH forever וָעֶֽד׃ SDBH and ever

He asked Chayyim of Thee, and Thou gavest it him, even length of yamim olam va'ed [see 1C 15:4; Ps 16:10];

גָּד֣וֹל SDBH Great is כְּ֭בוֹדוֹ SDBH his glory בִּישׁוּעָתֶ֑ךָ SDBH in Your salvation ה֥וֹד SDBH splendor וְ֝הָדָר SDBH and majesty תְּשַׁוֶּ֥ה SDBH You bestow עָלָֽיו׃ on him

Gadol is his kavod in Thy Yeshuah (salvation); hod v'hadar hast Thou bestowed upon him.

כִּֽי־ For תְשִׁיתֵ֣הוּ SDBH You grant him בְרָכ֣וֹת SDBH blessings forever לָעַ֑ד SDBH . . . תְּחַדֵּ֥הוּ SDBH You cheer him בְ֝שִׂמְחָ֗ה SDBH with joy אֶת־ SDBH in פָּנֶֽיךָ׃ Your presence

For Thou hast made him birkhot forever; Thou hast made him exceeding glad with simcha in Thy presence.

כִּֽי־ For הַ֭מֶּלֶךְ SDBH the king בֹּטֵ֣חַ SDBH trusts בַּיהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וּבְחֶ֥סֶד SDBH through the loving devotion עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן SDBH of the Most High בַּל־ SDBH he will not יִמּֽוֹט׃ SDBH be shaken

For HaMelech trusteth in Hashem, and through the chesed of Elyon he shall not be moved.

תִּמְצָ֣א SDBH will apprehend יָ֭דְךָ SDBH Your hand לְכָל־ all אֹיְבֶ֑יךָ SDBH Your enemies יְ֝מִֽינְךָ SDBH Your right hand תִּמְצָ֥א SDBH will seize שֹׂנְאֶֽיךָ׃ SDBH those who hate You

Thine yad shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

תְּשִׁיתֵ֤מוֹ׀ SDBH You will place them כְּתַנּ֥וּר SDBH furnace אֵשׁ֮ SDBH in a fiery לְעֵ֪ת SDBH at the time פָּ֫נֶ֥יךָ of Your appearing יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi בְּאַפּ֣וֹ SDBH In His wrath יְבַלְּעֵ֑ם SDBH will engulf them וְֽתֹאכְלֵ֥ם SDBH will consume them אֵֽשׁ׃ SDBH and the fire

Thou shalt make them like an oven of eish in the time of thine presence; Hashem shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the eish shall devour them.

פִּ֭רְיָמוֹ SDBH their descendants מֵאֶ֣רֶץ SDBH from the earth תְּאַבֵּ֑ד SDBH You will wipe וְ֝זַרְעָ֗ם SDBH and their offspring מִבְּנֵ֥י SDBH from the sons אָדָֽם׃ SDBH of men

Their fruit shalt Thou destroy from ha'aretz, and their zera from among Bnei Adam.

כִּי־ Though נָט֣וּ SDBH they intend עָלֶ֣יךָ You רָעָ֑ה SDBH harm חָֽשְׁב֥וּ SDBH they devise מְ֝זִמָּ֗ה SDBH the schemes בַּל־ SDBH will not יוּכָֽלוּ׃ SDBH prevail

For they intended ra'ah against Thee; they devised a plot, which they are not able to perform.

כִּ֭י For תְּשִׁיתֵ֣מוֹ SDBH You will put them to flight שֶׁ֑כֶם SDBH . . . בְּ֝מֵֽיתָרֶ֗יךָ SDBH when Your bow תְּכוֹנֵ֥ן SDBH is trained עַל־ upon פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ them

Ki (therefore) shalt Thou make them turn their backs, when Thou shalt aim Thine bowstrings at their faces.

ר֣וּמָה SDBH Be exalted יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi בְּעֻזֶּ֑ךָ SDBH in Your strength נָשִׁ֥ירָה SDBH we will sing וּֽ֝נְזַמְּרָה SDBH and praise גְּבוּרָתֶֽךָ׃ SDBH Your power

Be Thou exalted, Hashem, in Thine Own Strength; so will we sing and praise Thy gevurah (power).
