Tehillim 9 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

לַ֭מְנַצֵּחַ SDBH For the choirmaster עַלְמ֥וּת SDBH לַבֵּ֗ן SDBH To [the tune of] “The Death of the Son מִזְמ֥וֹר SDBH A Psalm לְדָוִֽד׃ SDBH of David אוֹדֶ֣ה SDBH I will give thanks יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi בְּכָל־ with all לִבִּ֑י SDBH my heart אֲ֝סַפְּרָ֗ה SDBH I will recount כָּל־ all נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ SDBH Your wonders

(For the one directing. To The Death of the Son. Mizmor of Dovid) I will give thanks to Thee, Hashem, with kol lev of me; I will show forth all Thy marvellous works.

אֶשְׂמְחָ֣ה SDBH I will be glad וְאֶעֶלְצָ֣ה SDBH and rejoice בָ֑ךְ in You אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה SDBH I will sing praise שִׁמְךָ֣ SDBH to Your name עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ SDBH O Most High

I will be glad and rejoice in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy Shem, O Thou Elyon.

בְּשׁוּב־ SDBH retreat אוֹיְבַ֥י SDBH When my enemies אָח֑וֹר SDBH . . . יִכָּשְׁל֥וּ SDBH they stumble וְ֝יֹאבְד֗וּ SDBH and perish מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃ before You

When mine oyevim are turned back, they shall fall and perish at Thy presence.

כִּֽי־ For עָ֭שִׂיתָ SDBH You have upheld מִשְׁפָּטִ֣י SDBH my just וְדִינִ֑י SDBH cause יָשַׁ֥בְתָּ SDBH You sit לְ֝כִסֵּ֗א SDBH on Your throne שׁוֹפֵ֥ט SDBH judging צֶֽדֶק׃ SDBH righteously

For Thou hast maintained my mishpat and my cause; Thou as Shofet Tzedek dost sit on the kisse.

גָּעַ֣רְתָּ SDBH You have rebuked ג֭וֹיִם SDBH the nations אִבַּ֣דְתָּ SDBH You have destroyed רָשָׁ֑ע SDBH the wicked שְׁמָ֥ם SDBH their name מָ֝חִ֗יתָ SDBH You have erased לְעוֹלָ֥ם SDBH forever וָעֶֽד׃ SDBH and ever

Thou hast rebuked the Goyim, Thou hast destroyed the wicked, Thou hast blotted out their shem l'olam va'ed.

הָֽאוֹיֵ֨ב׀ SDBH The enemy תַּ֥מּוּ SDBH . . . חֳרָב֗וֹת SDBH ruin לָ֫נֶ֥צַח SDBH has come to eternal וְעָרִ֥ים SDBH their cities נָתַ֑שְׁתָּ SDBH and You have uprooted אָבַ֖ד SDBH has vanished זִכְרָ֣ם SDBH the very memory הֵֽמָּה׃ SDBH of them

Choravot lanetzach (endless ruins) have come to the enemy: and Thou hast rooted out cities; their memory is perished with them.

וַֽ֭יהוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi לְעוֹלָ֣ם SDBH forever יֵשֵׁ֑ב SDBH abides כּוֹנֵ֖ן SDBH He has established לַמִּשְׁפָּ֣ט SDBH for judgment כִּסְאֽוֹ׃ SDBH His throne

But Hashem shall reign l'olam; He hath established His kisse (throne) for mishpat.

8

וְה֗וּא SDBH He יִשְׁפֹּֽט־ SDBH judges תֵּבֵ֥ל SDBH the world בְּצֶ֑דֶק SDBH with justice יָדִ֥ין SDBH He governs לְ֝אֻמִּ֗ים SDBH the people בְּמֵישָׁרִֽים׃ SDBH with equity

And He shall judge the tevel (world) in tzedek, He shall govern the nations with justice.

9

וִ֘יהִ֤י is יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi מִשְׂגָּ֣ב SDBH a refuge לַדָּ֑ךְ SDBH for the oppressed מִ֝שְׂגָּ֗ב SDBH a stronghold לְעִתּ֥וֹת SDBH in times בַּצָּרָֽה׃ SDBH of trouble

Hashem also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of tzoros.

10

וְיִבְטְח֣וּ SDBH trust בְ֭ךָ in You יוֹדְעֵ֣י SDBH Those who know שְׁמֶ֑ךָ SDBH Your name כִּ֤י for לֹֽא־ SDBH have not עָזַ֖בְתָּ SDBH forsaken דֹרְשֶׁ֣יךָ SDBH those who seek You יְהוָֽה׃ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi

And they that know Shemecha will put their trust in Thee; for Thou, Hashem, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.

זַמְּר֗וּ SDBH Sing praises לַ֭יהוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi יֹשֵׁ֣ב SDBH who dwells צִיּ֑וֹן SDBH in Zion הַגִּ֥ידוּ SDBH proclaim בָ֝עַמִּ֗ים SDBH among the nations עֲלִֽילוֹתָֽיו׃ SDBH His deeds

Sing praises to Hashem, enthroned in Tziyon; declare among the nations His deeds.

כִּֽי־ For דֹרֵ֣שׁ SDBH the Avenger דָּ֭מִים SDBH of bloodshed אוֹתָ֣ם SDBH - זָכָ֑ר SDBH remembers לֹֽא־ SDBH . . . שָׁ֝כַ֗ח SDBH He does not ignore צַעֲקַ֥ת SDBH the cry עֲנִיִּים׃ SDBH of the afflicted

When He avenges [shefach] dahm, He remembereth them; He forgetteth not the cry of the aniyim (humble, afflicted, the helpless ones).

חָֽנְנֵ֬נִי SDBH Be merciful to me יְהוָ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi רְאֵ֣ה SDBH see עָ֭נְיִי SDBH afflict me מִשֹּׂנְאָ֑י SDBH how my enemies מְ֝רוֹמְמִ֗י SDBH Lift me up מִשַּׁ֥עֲרֵי SDBH from the gates מָֽוֶת׃ SDBH of death

Have mercy upon me, Hashem; consider my sufferings which I suffer of them that hate me, Thou that liftest me up from the sha'arei mavet (gates of death);

לְמַ֥עַן that אֲסַפְּרָ֗ה SDBH I may declare כָּֽל־ all תְּהִלָּ֫תֶ֥יךָ SDBH Your praises בְּשַֽׁעֲרֵ֥י SDBH that within the gates בַת־ SDBH of Daughter צִיּ֑וֹן SDBH Zion אָ֝גִ֗ילָה SDBH I may rejoice בִּישׁוּעָתֶֽךָ׃ SDBH in Your salvation

That I may show forth all Thy praise in the Sha'arei Bat Tziyon. I will rejoice in Thy Yeshuah (salvation).

15

טָבְע֣וּ SDBH have fallen ג֭וֹיִם SDBH The nations בְּשַׁ֣חַת SDBH into a pit עָשׂ֑וּ SDBH of their making בְּרֶֽשֶׁת־ SDBH in the net ז֥וּ SDBH . . . טָ֝מָ֗נוּ SDBH they have hidden נִלְכְּדָ֥ה SDBH are caught רַגְלָֽם׃ SDBH their feet

The Goyim are sunk down in the shachat (pit) that they dug; in the reshet (net) which they hid is their own foot caught.

16

נ֤וֹדַ֨ע׀ SDBH is known יְהוָה֮ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi מִשְׁפָּ֪ט SDBH by the justice עָ֫שָׂ֥ה SDBH He brings בְּפֹ֣עַל SDBH by the work כַּ֭פָּיו SDBH of their hands נוֹקֵ֣שׁ SDBH are ensnared רָשָׁ֑ע SDBH the wicked הִגָּי֥וֹן SDBH Higgaion סֶֽלָה׃ SDBH Selah

Hashem is known by the mishpat which He executeth; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgayon. Selah.

17

יָשׁ֣וּבוּ SDBH will return רְשָׁעִ֣ים SDBH The wicked לִשְׁא֑וֹלָה SDBH to Sheol כָּל־ all גּ֝וֹיִ֗ם SDBH the nations שְׁכֵחֵ֥י SDBH who forget אֱלֹהִֽים׃ SDBH G-d

The resha'im shall be turned into Sheol, and all the Goyim that forget Elohim.

18

כִּ֤י For לֹ֣א SDBH {will} not לָ֭נֶצַח SDBH always יִשָּׁכַ֣ח SDBH be forgotten אֶבְי֑וֹן SDBH the needy תִּקְוַ֥ת SDBH nor the hope עֲנָוִים SDBH of the oppressed תֹּאבַ֥ד SDBH dashed לָעַֽד׃ SDBH forever

For the needy shall not always be forgotten; the tikveh of the poor shall not perish forever.

19

קוּמָ֣ה SDBH Rise up יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אַל־ do not let יָעֹ֣ז SDBH prevail אֱנ֑וֹשׁ SDBH man יִשָּׁפְט֥וּ SDBH be judged ג֝וֹיִ֗ם SDBH let the nations עַל־ in פָּנֶֽיךָ׃ Your presence

Arise, Hashem; let not enosh (mankind) prevail; let the Goyim be judged in Thy sight.

20

שִׁ֘יתָ֤ה SDBH Lay יְהוָ֨ה׀ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi מוֹרָ֗ה SDBH terror לָ֫הֶ֥ם they יֵדְע֥וּ SDBH know גוֹיִ֑ם SDBH let the nations אֱנ֖וֹשׁ SDBH are but men הֵ֣מָּה SDBH . . . סֶּֽלָה׃ SDBH Selah

Put them in terror, Hashem; that the Goyim may know themselves to be but enosh. Selah.
