לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ SDBH For the choirmaster בִּנְגִינֹ֑ת SDBH With stringed instruments מִזְמ֖וֹר SDBH A Psalm לְאָסָ֣ף SDBH of Asaph שִֽׁיר׃ SDBH A song נוֹדָ֣ע SDBH is known בִּֽיהוּדָ֣ה SDBH in Judah אֱלֹהִ֑ים SDBH G-d בְּ֝יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל SDBH in Israel גָּד֥וֹל SDBH is great שְׁמֽוֹ׃ SDBH His name

(For the one directing. On stringed instruments. Mizmor of Asaph. Shir.) In Yehudah is Elohim known; Shmo is gadol in Yisroel.

וַיְהִ֣י is בְשָׁלֵ֣ם SDBH in Salem סֻכּ֑וֹ SDBH His tent וּמְע֖וֹנָת֣וֹ SDBH His dwelling place בְצִיּֽוֹן׃ SDBH in Zion

In Shalem [i.e., Yerushalayim] also is His Sukkah, and His Ma'on (dwelling place) in Tziyon [see Yochanan chp 14 OJBC].

שָׁ֭מָּה SDBH There שִׁבַּ֣ר SDBH He shattered רִשְׁפֵי־ SDBH the flaming arrows קָ֑שֶׁת SDBH . . . מָגֵ֬ן SDBH the shield וְחֶ֖רֶב SDBH and sword וּמִלְחָמָ֣ה SDBH and weapons of war סֶֽלָה׃ SDBH Selah

There He broke the flashimg arrows, the mogen, and the cherev, and the milchamah. Selah.

נָ֭אוֹר SDBH are resplendent with light אַתָּ֥ה SDBH You אַדִּ֗יר SDBH more majestic מֵֽהַרְרֵי־ SDBH than mountains טָֽרֶף׃ SDBH filled with game

Thou art more glorious and adir (majestic) than the mountains of prey.

אֶשְׁתּוֹלְל֨וּ׀ SDBH lie plundered אַבִּ֣ירֵי SDBH The valiant לֵ֭ב SDBH . . . נָמ֣וּ SDBH they sleep שְׁנָתָ֑ם SDBH their last sleep וְלֹא־ SDBH No מָצְא֖וּ SDBH could lift כָל־ . . . אַנְשֵׁי־ SDBH men חַ֣יִל SDBH of might יְדֵיהֶֽם׃ SDBH a hand

The stouthearted are plundered; now their last sleep they sleep; and none of the anshei chayil can find their hands.

מִ֭גַּעֲרָ֣תְךָ SDBH At Your rebuke אֱלֹהֵ֣י SDBH O G-d יַעֲקֹ֑ב SDBH of Jacob נִ֝רְדָּ֗ם SDBH lie stunned וְרֶ֣כֶב SDBH and rider וָסֽוּס׃ SDBH both horse

At Thy rebuke, O Elohei Ya'akov, both the merkavah and sus are cast into a dead sleep.

אַתָּ֤ה׀ SDBH You נ֥וֹרָא SDBH are to be feared אַ֗תָּה SDBH alone וּמִֽי־ SDBH who יַעֲמֹ֥ד SDBH can stand לְפָנֶ֗יךָ before You מֵאָ֥ז SDBH When אַפֶּֽךָ׃ SDBH You are angry

Thou, even Thou, art to be feared; and who may stand in Thy sight when once Thou art angry?

מִ֭שָּׁמַיִם SDBH From heaven הִשְׁמַ֣עְתָּ SDBH You pronounced דִּ֑ין SDBH judgment אֶ֖רֶץ SDBH [and] the earth יָֽרְאָ֣ה SDBH feared וְשָׁקָֽטָה׃ SDBH and was still

Thou didst pronounce din (sentence, judgment) from Shomayim; Eretz feared, and was still,

בְּקוּם־ SDBH rose up לַמִּשְׁפָּ֥ט SDBH to judge אֱלֹהִ֑ים SDBH when G-d לְהוֹשִׁ֖יעַ SDBH to save כָּל־ all עַנְוֵי־ SDBH the lowly אֶ֣רֶץ SDBH of the earth סֶֽלָה׃ SDBH Selah

When Elohim arose to mishpat, to save all the meek of Eretz. Selah.

כִּֽי־ Even חֲמַ֣ת SDBH the wrath אָדָ֣ם SDBH of man תּוֹדֶ֑ךָּ SDBH shall praise You שְׁאֵרִ֖ית SDBH with the survivors חֵמֹ֣ת SDBH of wrath תַּחְגֹּֽר׃ SDBH You will clothe Yourself

Surely the chamat adam (the wrath of man) shall praise Thee; the she'erit (remnant, survivor) of wrath shalt Thou restrain [from doing evil].

נִֽדֲר֣וּ SDBH Make וְשַׁלְּמוּ֮ SDBH and fulfill your vows לַיהוָ֪ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֱ‍ֽלֹהֵ֫יכֶ֥ם SDBH your G-d כָּל־ let all סְבִיבָ֑יו the neighboring lands יוֹבִ֥ילוּ SDBH bring שַׁ֝֗י SDBH tribute לַמּוֹרָֽא׃ SDBH to Him who is to be feared

Make neder (vow), and pay unto Hashem Eloheichem; let all that be around Him bring gifts unto Him that ought to be feared.

יִ֭בְצֹר SDBH He breaks ר֣וּחַ SDBH the spirits נְגִידִ֑ים SDBH of princes נ֝וֹרָ֗א SDBH He is feared לְמַלְכֵי־ SDBH by the kings אָֽרֶץ׃ SDBH of the earth

He shall cut short the ruach of negidim (nobles); He is fearsome to the MalkheiAretz (Kings of the Earth).
