Tehillim 63 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

מִזְמ֥וֹר SDBH A Psalm לְדָוִ֑ד SDBH of David בִּ֝הְיוֹת֗וֹ when he was בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר SDBH in the Wilderness יְהוּדָֽה׃ SDBH of Judah אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ SDBH O G-d אֵלִ֥י SDBH You are my G-d אַתָּ֗ה SDBH You אֲ‍ֽשַׁחֲ֫רֶ֥ךָּ SDBH Earnestly I seek צָמְאָ֬ה SDBH thirsts for You לְךָ֨׀ my נַפְשִׁ֗י SDBH soul כָּמַ֣הּ SDBH yearns for You לְךָ֣ My בְשָׂרִ֑י SDBH body בְּאֶֽרֶץ־ SDBH land צִיָּ֖ה SDBH in a dry וְעָיֵ֣ף SDBH and weary בְּלִי־ SDBH without מָֽיִם׃ SDBH water

(Mizmor Dovid. When he was in the midbar Yehudah). O Elohim, Thou art Eli; early will I seek Thee; my nefesh thirsteth for Thee; my basar longeth for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no mayim is;

כֵּ֭ן SDBH So בַּקֹּ֣דֶשׁ SDBH in the sanctuary חֲזִיתִ֑יךָ SDBH I have seen You לִרְא֥וֹת SDBH [and] beheld עֻ֝זְּךָ֗ SDBH Your power וּכְבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ SDBH and glory

To see Thy oz (might, power) and Thy kavod, as I have beheld Thee in the Kodesh (holy place, sanctuary).

כִּי־ Because ט֣וֹב SDBH is better חַ֭סְדְּךָ SDBH Your loving devotion מֵֽחַיִּ֗ים SDBH than life שְׂפָתַ֥י SDBH my lips יְשַׁבְּחֽוּנְךָ׃ SDBH will glorify You

Because Thy chesed is better than chayyim, my lips shall praise Thee.

כֵּ֣ן SDBH So אֲבָרֶכְךָ֣ SDBH I will bless You בְחַיָּ֑י SDBH as long as I live בְּ֝שִׁמְךָ SDBH in Your name אֶשָּׂ֥א SDBH I will lift כַפָּֽי׃ SDBH my hands

Thus will I bless Thee while I live; I will lift up my hands b'Shimcha (in Thy Name.)

כְּמ֤וֹ SDBH as חֵ֣לֶב SDBH with the richest וָ֭דֶשֶׁן SDBH of foods תִּשְׂבַּ֣ע SDBH is satisfied נַפְשִׁ֑י SDBH My soul וְשִׂפְתֵ֥י SDBH lips רְ֝נָנ֗וֹת SDBH with joyful יְהַלֶּל־ SDBH will praise You פִּֽי׃ SDBH my mouth

My nefesh shall be satisfied as with chelev (fat) and deshen (abundance); and my mouth shall praise Thee with lips of joyful singing;

אִם־ SDBH When זְכַרְתִּ֥יךָ SDBH I remember You עַל־ on יְצוּעָ֑י SDBH my bed בְּ֝אַשְׁמֻר֗וֹת SDBH through the watches of the night אֶהְגֶּה־ SDBH I think בָּֽךְ׃ of You

When I remember Thee upon my bed, and meditate on Thee in the ashmurot (night watches).

כִּֽי־ For הָיִ֣יתָ You are עֶזְרָ֣תָה SDBH my help לִּ֑י וּבְצֵ֖ל SDBH in the shadow כְּנָפֶ֣יךָ SDBH of Your wings אֲרַנֵּֽן׃ SDBH I will sing for joy

Because Thou hast been my help, therefore in the tzel (shadow) of Thy wings will I sing with joy.

דָּבְקָ֣ה SDBH clings נַפְשִׁ֣י SDBH My soul אַחֲרֶ֑יךָ SDBH to You בִּ֝֗י תָּמְכָ֥ה SDBH upholds me יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ SDBH Your right hand

My nefesh followeth hard after Thee; Thy Yamin (Right Hand) upholdeth me.

וְהֵ֗מָּה SDBH But those לְ֭שׁוֹאָה SDBH to destroy it יְבַקְשׁ֣וּ SDBH who seek נַפְשִׁ֑י SDBH my life יָ֝בֹ֗אוּ SDBH will go בְּֽתַחְתִּיּ֥וֹת SDBH into the depths הָאָֽרֶץ׃ SDBH of the earth

But those that seek my nefesh, to destroy it, shall go into the abysses of ha'aretz.

יַגִּירֻ֥הוּ SDBH They will fall עַל־ to יְדֵי־ SDBH the power חָ֑רֶב SDBH of the sword מְנָ֖ת SDBH a portion שֻׁעָלִ֣ים SDBH for foxes יִהְיֽוּ׃ they will become

They deliver him into the power of the cherev; they shall be a portion for jackals.

וְהַמֶּלֶךְ֮ SDBH But the king יִשְׂמַ֪ח SDBH will rejoice בֵּאלֹ֫הִ֥ים SDBH in G-d יִ֭תְהַלֵּל SDBH will exult כָּל־ all הַנִּשְׁבָּ֣ע SDBH who swear בּ֑וֹ by Him כִּ֥י for יִ֝סָּכֵ֗ר SDBH will be shut פִּ֣י SDBH the mouths דֽוֹבְרֵי־ SDBH of liars שָֽׁקֶר׃ SDBH . . .

But HaMelech shall rejoice in Elohim; every one that sweareth by Him shall glory; but the mouth of them that speak sheker shall be stopped.
