Tehillim 64 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ SDBH For the choirmaster מִזְמ֥וֹר SDBH A Psalm לְדָוִֽד׃ SDBH of David שְׁמַע־ SDBH Hear אֱלֹהִ֣ים SDBH O G-d קוֹלִ֣י SDBH my voice בְשִׂיחִ֑י SDBH of complaint מִפַּ֥חַד SDBH from dread א֝וֹיֵ֗ב SDBH of the enemy תִּצֹּ֥ר SDBH preserve חַיָּֽי׃ SDBH my life

(For the one directing. Mizmor of Dovid). Hear my voice, O Elohim, in my si'akh (complaint); preserve my life from the pachad (terror) of the oyev (enemy).

תַּ֭סְתִּירֵנִי SDBH Hide me מִסּ֣וֹד SDBH from the scheming מְרֵעִ֑ים SDBH of the wicked מֵ֝רִגְשַׁ֗ת SDBH from the mob פֹּ֣עֲלֵי SDBH of workers אָֽוֶן׃ SDBH of iniquity

Hide me from the sod (secret counsel, conspiracy) of the re'im; from the rigshah (insurrection, noisy crowd, assembly) of the workers of iniquity;

אֲשֶׁ֤ר SDBH who שָׁנְנ֣וּ SDBH sharpen כַחֶ֣רֶב SDBH like swords לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם SDBH their tongues דָּרְכ֥וּ SDBH and aim חִ֝צָּ֗ם SDBH like arrows דָּבָ֥ר SDBH words מָֽר׃ SDBH their bitter

Who whet their tongue like a cherev, and aim their khitzim (arrows), even davar mar (bitter words);

לִיר֣וֹת SDBH ambushing בַּמִּסְתָּרִ֣ים SDBH in seclusion תָּ֑ם SDBH the innocent פִּתְאֹ֥ם SDBH suddenly יֹ֝רֻ֗הוּ SDBH shooting וְלֹ֣א SDBH without יִירָֽאוּ׃ SDBH fear

That they may shoot in secret at the tam (innoent); pitom (suddenly) do they shoot at him, and fear not.

יְחַזְּקוּ־ SDBH They hold fast לָ֨מוֹ׀ דָּ֘בָ֤ר SDBH purpose רָ֗ע SDBH to their evil יְֽ֭סַפְּרוּ SDBH they speak לִטְמ֣וֹן SDBH of hiding מוֹקְשִׁ֑ים SDBH their snares אָ֝מְר֗וּ SDBH they say מִ֣י SDBH Who יִרְאֶה־ SDBH will see לָּֽמוֹ׃ them

They encourage themselves in a davar rah (an evil plan); they speak in order to set mokshim (snares, hidden traps); they say, Who shall see them?

יַֽחְפְּֽשׂוּ־ SDBH They devise עוֹלֹ֗ת SDBH injustice [and say] תַּ֭מְנוּ SDBH We have perfected חֵ֣פֶשׂ SDBH a secret מְחֻפָּ֑שׂ SDBH plan וְקֶ֥רֶב SDBH For the inner אִ֝֗ישׁ SDBH man וְלֵ֣ב SDBH and the heart עָמֹֽק׃ SDBH are mysterious

Or search out their iniquities? They have accomplished a cunningly devised plot; for the mind of ish (man) and the lev (heart) are deep,

וַיֹּרֵ֗ם SDBH will shoot them אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים SDBH But G-d חֵ֥ץ SDBH with arrows פִּתְא֑וֹם SDBH suddenly הָ֝י֗וּ they will be מַכּוֹתָֽם׃ SDBH wounded

But Elohim shall shoot at them with a khetz (arrow); pitom (suddenly) shall their wounds be.

וַיַּכְשִׁיל֣וּהוּ SDBH They will be made to stumble עָלֵ֣ימוֹ turned against them לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם SDBH their own tongues יִ֝תְנֹדֲד֗וּ SDBH will shake their heads כָּל־ All רֹ֥אֵה SDBH who see בָֽם׃

So the leshon of them will bring ruin upon them; all that see them shall shake their head.

וַיִּֽירְא֗וּ SDBH will fear כָּל־ Then all אָ֫דָ֥ם SDBH mankind וַ֭יַּגִּידוּ SDBH and proclaim פֹּ֥עַל SDBH the work אֱלֹהִ֗ים SDBH of G-d וּֽמַעֲשֵׂ֥הוּ SDBH what He has done הִשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃ SDBH so they will ponder

And kol adam shall fear, and shall declare the po'al Elohim (work of G-d); for they shall ponder His ma'aseh.

10

יִשְׂמַ֬ח SDBH rejoice צַדִּ֣יק SDBH Let the righteous בַּ֭יהוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְחָ֣סָה SDBH and take refuge ב֑וֹ in Him וְ֝יִתְהַֽלְל֗וּ SDBH exult כָּל־ let all יִשְׁרֵי־ SDBH the upright לֵֽב׃ SDBH in heart

The tzaddik shall be glad in Hashem, and shall take refuge in Him; and all the yishrei lev (upright of heart) shall glory.
