שִׁ֗יר SDBH A song הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת SDBH of ascents אֵ֭לֶיךָ to You נָשָׂ֣אתִי SDBH I lift up אֶת־ SDBH - עֵינַ֑י SDBH my eyes הַ֝יֹּשְׁבִ֗י SDBH the One enthroned בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ SDBH in heaven

(Shir HaMa'alot, [Song of Ascents]) Unto Thee lift I up mine eyes, O Thou that dwellest in Shomayim.

הִנֵּ֨ה - כְעֵינֵ֪י SDBH As the eyes עֲבָדִ֡ים SDBH of servants אֶל־ [look] to יַ֤ד SDBH the hand אֲ‍ֽדוֹנֵיהֶ֗ם SDBH of their master כְּעֵינֵ֣י SDBH as the eyes שִׁפְחָה֮ SDBH of a maidservant אֶל־ [look] to יַ֪ד SDBH the hand גְּבִ֫רְתָּ֥הּ SDBH of her mistress כֵּ֣ן SDBH so עֵ֭ינֵינוּ SDBH our eyes אֶל־ are on יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ SDBH our G-d עַ֝֗ד SDBH until שֶׁיְּחָנֵּֽנוּ׃ SDBH He shows us mercy

Hinei, as the eyes of avadim look unto the yad adoneihem, and as the eyes of a shifchah (maiden) unto the yad of her gevirah; so our eyes wait upon Hashem Eloheinu, until He have channun (favor, grace) upon us.

חָנֵּ֣נוּ SDBH Have mercy on us יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi חָנֵּ֑נוּ SDBH have mercy כִּֽי־ for רַ֝֗ב SDBH much שָׂבַ֥עְנוּ SDBH we have endured בֽוּז׃ SDBH contempt

Channenu Hashem, channenu; for we are more than sated with buz (contempt).

רַבַּת֮ SDBH much שָֽׂבְעָה־ SDBH have endured לָּ֪הּ נַ֫פְשֵׁ֥נוּ SDBH We הַלַּ֥עַג SDBH scorn הַשַּׁאֲנַנִּ֑ים SDBH from the arrogant הַ֝בּ֗וּז SDBH much contempt לִגְאֵ֥יוֹנִֽים׃ SDBH from the proud

Nafsheinu (our nefesh) is more than sated with the scorn of those that are at ease, and with the buz (contempt) of the g'eiyonim (proud ones, arrogant ones).
