שִׁ֥יר SDBH A song הַֽמַּעֲל֗וֹת SDBH of ascents לְדָ֫וִ֥ד SDBH Of David שָׂ֭מַחְתִּי SDBH I was glad בְּאֹמְרִ֣ים SDBH when they said לִ֑י to me בֵּ֖ית SDBH to the house יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi נֵלֵֽךְ׃ SDBH Let us go

(Shir HaMa'alot, [Song of Ascents] of Dovid). I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the Bais Hashem.

עֹ֭מְדוֹת SDBH are standing הָי֣וּ . . . רַגְלֵ֑ינוּ SDBH Our feet בִּ֝שְׁעָרַ֗יִךְ SDBH in your gates יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ SDBH O Jerusalem

Our feet shall stand within thy she'arim, O Yerushalayim.

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֥ם SDBH Jerusalem הַבְּנוּיָ֑ה SDBH is built up כְּ֝עִ֗יר SDBH as a city שֶׁחֻבְּרָה־ SDBH united לָּ֥הּ יַחְדָּֽו׃ SDBH together

Yerushalayim is built as an Ir bound firmly together;

שֶׁשָּׁ֨ם SDBH where עָל֪וּ SDBH go up שְׁבָטִ֡ים SDBH the tribes שִׁבְטֵי־ SDBH the tribes יָ֭הּ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi עֵד֣וּת SDBH as a testimony לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל SDBH for Israel לְ֝הֹד֗וֹת SDBH to give thanks לְשֵׁ֣ם SDBH to the name יְהוָֽה׃ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi

That is where the Shevatim (tribes) go up, the Shivtei Hashem, according to the edut l'Yisroel (the statute to Yisroel), to give thanks unto the Shem of Hashem.

כִּ֤י For שָׁ֨מָּה׀ SDBH there יָשְׁב֣וּ SDBH stand כִסְא֣וֹת SDBH the thrones לְמִשְׁפָּ֑ט SDBH of judgment כִּ֝סְא֗וֹת SDBH the thrones לְבֵ֣ית SDBH of the house דָּוִֽיד׃ SDBH of David

For there are set kise'ot l'mishpat (thrones of judgment), the kise'ot of the Bais Dovid.

שַׁ֭אֲלוּ SDBH Pray שְׁל֣וֹם SDBH for the peace יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם SDBH of Jerusalem יִ֝שְׁלָ֗יוּ SDBH prosper אֹהֲבָֽיִךְ׃ SDBH May those who love you

Sha'alu shalom Yerushalayim (pray for the peace of Jerusalem); they shall prosper that love thee.

יְהִֽי־ May there be שָׁל֥וֹם SDBH peace בְּחֵילֵ֑ךְ SDBH within your walls שַׁ֝לְוָ֗ה SDBH [and] prosperity בְּאַרְמְנוֹתָֽיִךְ׃ SDBH inside your fortresses

Shalom be within thy wall, and security within thy citadels.

לְ֭מַעַן For the sake אַחַ֣י SDBH of my brothers וְרֵעָ֑י SDBH and friends אֲדַבְּרָה־ SDBH I will say נָּ֖א . . . שָׁל֣וֹם SDBH Peace בָּֽךְ׃ [be] within you

L'ma'an (for the sake of) my achim and companions, I will now say, Shalom be within thee.

לְ֭מַעַן For the sake בֵּית־ SDBH of the house יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ SDBH our G-d אֲבַקְשָׁ֖ה SDBH I will seek ט֣וֹב SDBH your prosperity לָֽךְ׃

L'ma'an the Bais Hashem Eloheinu I will seek thy tov.
