Tehillim 124 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

שִׁ֥יר SDBH A song הַֽמַּעֲל֗וֹת SDBH of ascents לְדָ֫וִ֥ד SDBH Of David לוּלֵ֣י SDBH had not יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi שֶׁהָ֣יָה been לָ֑נוּ on our side יֹֽאמַר־ SDBH declare נָ֝א now יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ SDBH let Israel

(Shir HaMa'alot, [Song of Ascents] of Dovid). If it had not been Hashem Who was lanu (for us, on our side), now may Yisroel say;

לוּלֵ֣י SDBH had not יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi שֶׁהָ֣יָה been לָ֑נוּ on our side בְּק֖וּם SDBH attacked עָלֵ֣ינוּ us אָדָֽם׃ SDBH when men

If it had not been Hashem Who was lanu, when adam (man) rose up against us;

אֲ֭זַי SDBH then חַיִּ֣ים SDBH alive בְּלָע֑וּנוּ SDBH they would have swallowed us בַּחֲר֖וֹת SDBH flared אַפָּ֣ם SDBH when their anger בָּֽנוּ׃ against us

Then they had swallowed us up chayyim (alive); when their wrath was kindled against us;

אֲ֭זַי SDBH then הַמַּ֣יִם SDBH the floods שְׁטָפ֑וּנוּ SDBH would have engulfed us נַ֗֜חְלָה SDBH [then] the torrent עָבַ֥ר SDBH would have overwhelmed עַל־ . . . נַפְשֵֽׁנוּ׃ SDBH us

Then the mayim would have overwhelmed us, the torrent would have swept over nafsheinu (our nefesh);

אֲ֭זַי SDBH then עָבַ֣ר SDBH would have swept us away עַל־ . . . נַפְשֵׁ֑נוּ SDBH . . . הַ֝מַּ֗יִם SDBH waters הַזֵּֽידוֹנִֽים׃ SDBH the raging

Then the mayim hazedonim (treacherous waters) would have swept over nafsheinu (our nefesh).

בָּר֥וּךְ SDBH Blessed יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi שֶׁלֹּ֥א SDBH who has not נְתָנָ֥נוּ given us טֶ֝֗רֶף SDBH as prey לְשִׁנֵּיהֶֽם׃ SDBH to their teeth

Baruch Hashem, Who hath not given us up as a prey to their shinayim (teeth).

נַפְשֵׁ֗נוּ SDBH We כְּצִפּ֥וֹר SDBH like a bird נִמְלְטָה֮ SDBH have escaped מִפַּ֪ח SDBH from the snare י֫וֹקְשִׁ֥ים SDBH of the fowler הַפַּ֥ח SDBH the net נִשְׁבָּ֗ר SDBH is torn וַאֲנַ֥חְנוּ SDBH and we נִמְלָֽטְנוּ׃ SDBH have slipped away

Nafsheinu (our nefesh) is escaped as a tzippor (bird) out of the pach (snare of the fowlers); the pach is broken, and we are escaped.

עֶ֭זְרֵנוּ SDBH Our help בְּשֵׁ֣ם SDBH is in the name יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה SDBH the Maker שָׁמַ֥יִם SDBH of heaven וָאָֽרֶץ׃ SDBH and earth
