מֹאזְנֵ֣י SDBH scales מִ֭רְמָה SDBH Dishonest תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת SDBH are an abomination יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְאֶ֖בֶן SDBH weight שְׁלֵמָ֣ה SDBH but an accurate רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃ SDBH is His delight
A balance of mirmah (dishonesty, deception) is abomination to Hashem, but an even shelemah (perfect stone, just weight) is His ratzon.
When zadon (pride) cometh, then cometh kalon (shame, disgrace), but with the humble is chochmah.

תֻּמַּ֣ת SDBH The integrity יְשָׁרִ֣ים SDBH of the upright תַּנְחֵ֑ם SDBH guides them וְסֶ֖לֶף SDBH but the perversity בּוֹגְדִ֣ים SDBH of the faithless וְשַׁדָּם׃ SDBH destroys them
The integrity of the yesharim (upright ones) shall guide them, but the deceit of the bogedim (treacherous ones) shall destroy them.

לֹא־ SDBH vvv יוֹעִ֣יל SDBH are worthless ה֭וֹן SDBH Riches בְּי֣וֹם SDBH in the day עֶבְרָ֑ה SDBH of wrath וּ֝צְדָקָ֗ה SDBH but righteousness תַּצִּ֥יל SDBH brings deliverance מִמָּֽוֶת׃ SDBH from death
Hon (riches) profit not in the yom evrah (day of wrath), but tzedakah (righteousness) delivereth from mavet.

צִדְקַ֣ת SDBH The righteousness תָּ֭מִים SDBH of the blameless תְּיַשֵּׁ֣ר SDBH directs דַּרְכּ֑וֹ SDBH their path וּ֝בְרִשְׁעָת֗וֹ SDBH by their own wickedness יִפֹּ֥ל SDBH fall רָשָֽׁע׃ SDBH but the wicked
The tzidkat tamim (righteousness of the blameless) shall make his derech straight, but the rasha shall fall by his own evil.

צִדְקַ֣ת SDBH The righteousness יְ֭שָׁרִים SDBH of the upright תַּצִּילֵ֑ם SDBH delivers them וּ֝בְהַוַּ֗ת SDBH by their own desires בֹּגְדִ֥ים SDBH but the faithless יִלָּכֵֽדוּ׃ SDBH are trapped
The tzidkat yesharim shall deliver them, but bogedim (treacherous ones) shall be caught in their own evil desire.
At the mot adam rasha, his tikveh shall perish, and the expectation of his [surviving] strong ones perisheth.

צַ֭דִּיק SDBH The righteous man מִצָּרָ֣ה SDBH from trouble נֶחֱלָ֑ץ SDBH is delivered וַיָּבֹ֖א SDBH goes in רָשָׁ֣ע SDBH the wicked man תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ SDBH in his place
The tzaddik is delivered out of tzoros, but the rashah cometh on to take his place.

בְּפֶ֗ה SDBH With his mouth חָ֭נֵף SDBH the ung-dly man יַשְׁחִ֣ת SDBH destroys רֵעֵ֑הוּ SDBH his neighbor וּ֝בְדַ֗עַת SDBH but through knowledge צַדִּיקִ֥ים SDBH the righteous יֵחָלֵֽצוּ׃ SDBH are rescued
A chanef (hypocrite, man without G- d) with his peh (mouth) destroyeth his re'a, but through da'as (knowledge) shall the tzaddikim be delivered.

בְּט֣וּב SDBH thrive צַ֭דִּיקִים SDBH When the righteous תַּעֲלֹ֣ץ SDBH rejoices קִרְיָ֑ה SDBH the city וּבַאֲבֹ֖ד SDBH perish רְשָׁעִ֣ים SDBH and when the wicked רִנָּֽה׃ SDBH there are shouts of joy
When it goeth well with the tzaddikim, the city rejoiceth, and when the resha'im perish, there is rinnah (joyful shouting).

בְּבִרְכַּ֣ת SDBH By the blessing יְ֭שָׁרִים SDBH of the upright תָּר֣וּם SDBH is built up קָ֑רֶת SDBH a city וּבְפִ֥י SDBH but by the mouth רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים SDBH of the wicked תֵּהָרֵֽס׃ SDBH it is torn down
By the birkat yesharim the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the peh (mouth) of the resha'im.

בָּז־ SDBH Whoever shows contempt לְרֵעֵ֥הוּ SDBH for his neighbor חֲסַר־ SDBH lacks לֵ֑ב SDBH judgment וְאִ֖ישׁ SDBH but a man תְּבוּנ֣וֹת SDBH of understanding יַחֲרִֽישׁ׃ SDBH remains silent
He that is devoid of lev [of understanding] despiseth his re'a, but an ish tevunot holdeth his peace.
A bringer of rekhil (gossip, rekhilut) revealeth sod (secrets, confidences), but he that is of a ne'eman ruach concealeth the matter.

Where no strategic policy is, the nation falls, but in the multitude of yoetz (counsellors, advisors) there is teshu'ah (victory, safety).
15
רַע־ SDBH will surely suffer יֵ֭רוֹעַ SDBH . . . כִּי־ - עָ֣רַב SDBH He who puts up security זָ֑ר SDBH for a stranger וְשֹׂנֵ֖א SDBH but the one who hates תֹקְעִ֣ים SDBH indebtedness בּוֹטֵֽחַ׃ SDBH is secure
He that is guaranty for a zar shall suffer for it, and he that hateth pledging collateral is secure.
An eshet chen retaineth kavod (honor, respect), but ruthless men retain osher.
The ish chesed (merciful man) doeth good to his own nefesh, but he that is cruel harmeth his own self.

רָשָׁ֗ע SDBH The wicked man עֹשֶׂ֥ה SDBH earns פְעֻלַּת־ SDBH wage שָׁ֑קֶר SDBH an empty וְזֹרֵ֥עַ SDBH but he who sows צְ֝דָקָ֗ה SDBH righteousness שֶׂ֣כֶר SDBH reward אֱמֶֽת׃ SDBH [reaps] a true
The reshah worketh a wage of sheker, but to him that soweth tzedakah (righteousness) shall be a sachar emes (sure reward).

כֵּן־ SDBH Genuine צְדָקָ֥ה SDBH righteousness לְחַיִּ֑ים SDBH leads to life וּמְרַדֵּ֖ף SDBH but the pursuit רָעָ֣ה SDBH of evil לְמוֹתֽוֹ׃ SDBH brings death
As tzedakah (righteousness) leadeth to Chayyim, so he that pursueth ra'ah pursueth it to his own mot (death).

תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת SDBH are an abomination יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi עִקְּשֵׁי־ SDBH The perverse לֵ֑ב SDBH in heart וּ֝רְצוֹנ֗וֹ SDBH are His delight תְּמִ֣ימֵי SDBH but the blameless דָֽרֶךְ׃ SDBH in [their] walk
They that are of a perverse lev are an abomination to Hashem, but such as are upright in their derech are His delight.
21
יָ֣ד SDBH Be assured לְ֭יָד SDBH . . . לֹא־ SDBH will not יִנָּ֣קֶה SDBH go unpunished רָּ֑ע SDBH that the wicked וְזֶ֖רַע SDBH but the offspring צַדִּיקִ֣ים SDBH of the righteous נִמְלָֽט׃ SDBH will escape
Though yad join in yad, the rah shall not go unpunished, but the zera of the tzaddikim shall be delivered.
22
נֶ֣זֶם SDBH ring זָ֭הָב SDBH Like a gold בְּאַ֣ף SDBH snout חֲזִ֑יר SDBH in a pig’s אִשָּׁ֥ה SDBH woman יָ֝פָ֗ה SDBH [is] a beautiful וְסָ֣רַת SDBH who lacks טָֽעַם׃ SDBH discretion
As a ring of zahav in the snout of a chazir, so is an isha yafah which is without ta'am (judgment, discretion).

תַּאֲוַ֣ת SDBH The desire צַדִּיקִ֣ים SDBH of the righteous אַךְ־ SDBH leads only ט֑וֹב SDBH to good תִּקְוַ֖ת SDBH but the hope רְשָׁעִ֣ים SDBH of the wicked עֶבְרָֽה׃ SDBH [brings] wrath
The ta'avat tzaddikim is only tov, but the tikveh of the resha'im is wrath.
24
יֵ֣שׁ - מְ֭פַזֵּר SDBH One gives freely וְנוֹסָ֥ף SDBH yet gains ע֑וֹד even more וְחוֹשֵׂ֥ךְ SDBH another withholds מִ֝יֹּ֗שֶׁר SDBH what is right אַךְ־ SDBH only לְמַחְסֽוֹר׃ SDBH to become poor
There is that which scattereth, and yet increaseth more; and there is that which withholdeth more than is yosher, but it leadeth to machsor (want, need, poverty).
25
נֶֽפֶשׁ־ SDBH soul בְּרָכָ֥ה SDBH A generous תְדֻשָּׁ֑ן SDBH will prosper וּ֝מַרְוֶ֗ה SDBH and he who refreshes others גַּם־ SDBH . . . ה֥וּא SDBH will himself יוֹרֶֽא׃ SDBH be refreshed
The nefesh berakhah (generous person) shall be made to prosper, and he that watereth shall be refreshed also himself.
26
מֹ֣נֵֽעַ SDBH the hoarder בָּ֭ר SDBH of grain יִקְּבֻ֣הוּ SDBH will curse לְא֑וֹם SDBH The people וּ֝בְרָכָ֗ה SDBH but blessing לְרֹ֣אשׁ SDBH will crown מַשְׁבִּֽיר׃ SDBH the one who sells it
He that withholdeth grain, the people shall curse him, but bracha shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
He that diligently seeketh tov procureth ratzon, but he that seeketh ra'ah, it shall come unto him.
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the tzaddik shall flourish like the green leaf.

עוֹכֵ֣ר SDBH He who brings trouble בֵּ֭יתוֹ SDBH on his house יִנְחַל־ SDBH will inherit ר֑וּחַ SDBH the wind וְעֶ֥בֶד SDBH will be servant אֱ֝וִ֗יל SDBH and the fool לַחֲכַם־ SDBH to the wise לֵֽב׃ SDBH of heart
He that troubleth his own bais shall inherit the ruach (wind), and the fool shall be eved to the chacham lev.
30
פְּֽרִי־ SDBH The fruit צַ֭דִּיק SDBH of the righteous עֵ֣ץ SDBH is a tree חַיִּ֑ים SDBH of life וְלֹקֵ֖חַ SDBH and he who wins נְפָשׂ֣וֹת SDBH souls חָכָֽם׃ SDBH [is] wise
The p'ri tzedek is Etz Chayyim, and he that winneth nefashot is chacham (wise).
31
הֵ֣ן If צַ֭דִּיק SDBH the righteous בָּאָ֣רֶץ SDBH on earth יְשֻׁלָּ֑ם SDBH receive their due אַ֝֗ף SDBH how much more כִּֽי־ . . . רָשָׁ֥ע SDBH the ung-dly וְחוֹטֵֽא׃ SDBH and the sinner
If the tzaddik are recompensed on ha'aretz (the earth), much more the rashah and the choteh (sinner).
