Iyov 26 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

וַיַּ֥עַן SDBH answered אִיּ֗וֹב SDBH Then Job וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ SDBH . . .

But Iyov answered and said,

מֶה־ SDBH How עָזַ֥רְתָּ SDBH you have helped לְלֹא־ SDBH the powerless כֹ֑חַ SDBH . . . ה֝וֹשַׁ֗עְתָּ SDBH [and] saved זְר֣וֹעַ SDBH the arm לֹא־ SDBH that is feeble עֹֽז׃ SDBH . . .

How hast thou helped him that is without ko'ach? How savest thou the zero'a that hath no oz (strength)?

מַה־ SDBH How יָּ֭עַצְתָּ SDBH you have counseled לְלֹ֣א SDBH the unwise חָכְמָ֑ה SDBH . . . וְ֝תוּשִׁיָּ֗ה SDBH insight לָרֹ֥ב fully sound הוֹדָֽעְתָּ׃ SDBH [and] provided

How hast thou counseled him that hath no chochmah? And how hast thou plentifully declared the tushiyyah (efficient wisdom)?

אֶת־ SDBH To מִ֭י SDBH whom הִגַּ֣דְתָּ SDBH have you uttered מִלִּ֑ין SDBH these words וְנִשְׁמַת־ SDBH spirit מִ֝י SDBH And whose יָצְאָ֥ה SDBH spoke מִמֶּֽךָּ׃ through you

To whom hast thou uttered words? And whose neshamah came from thee?

הָרְפָאִ֥ים SDBH The dead יְחוֹלָ֑לוּ SDBH tremble מִתַּ֥חַת SDBH those beneath מַ֝֗יִם SDBH the waters וְשֹׁכְנֵיהֶֽם׃ SDBH and those who dwell in them

Dead things tremble from under the mayim, and the inhabitants thereof.

עָר֣וֹם SDBH is naked שְׁא֣וֹל SDBH Sheol נֶגְדּ֑וֹ before [G-d] וְאֵ֥ין SDBH has no כְּ֝ס֗וּת SDBH covering לָֽאֲבַדּֽוֹן׃ SDBH and Abaddon

Sheol is naked before Him, and Avaddon hath no cover.

נֹטֶ֣ה SDBH He stretches out צָפ֣וֹן SDBH the north עַל־ over תֹּ֑הוּ SDBH empty space תֹּ֥לֶה SDBH He hangs אֶ֝֗רֶץ SDBH the earth עַל־ upon בְּלִי־ SDBH nothing מָֽה׃ SDBH . . .

He stretcheth out the Tzafon over the tohu, and hangeth eretz upon nothing.

צֹרֵֽר־ SDBH He wraps up מַ֥יִם SDBH the waters בְּעָבָ֑יו SDBH in His clouds וְלֹא־ SDBH do not נִבְקַ֖ע SDBH burst עָנָ֣ן SDBH yet the clouds תַּחְתָּֽם׃ SDBH under their own weight

He bindeth up the mayim in His thick clouds; and the anan doeth not burst under them.

מְאַחֵ֥ז SDBH He covers פְּנֵי־ the face כִסֵּ֑ה SDBH of the full moon פַּרְשֵׁ֖ז SDBH spreading עָלָ֣יו over it עֲנָנֽוֹ׃ SDBH His cloud

He covers the face of [His] kisse, and spreadeth His anan upon it.

חֹֽק־ SDBH a horizon חָ֭ג SDBH He has inscribed עַל־ on פְּנֵי־ the face מָ֑יִם SDBH of the waters עַד־ SDBH at תַּכְלִ֖ית SDBH the boundary א֣וֹר SDBH light עִם־ between חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ SDBH and darkness

He hath circled the horizon on the face of the mayim for a boundary between ohr and choshech.

עַמּוּדֵ֣י SDBH The foundations שָׁמַ֣יִם SDBH of heaven יְרוֹפָ֑פוּ SDBH quake וְ֝יִתְמְה֗וּ SDBH astounded מִגַּעֲרָתֽוֹ׃ SDBH at His rebuke

The ammudim of Shomayim tremble and are aghast at His rebuke.

12

בְּ֭כֹחוֹ SDBH By His power רָגַ֣ע SDBH He stirred הַיָּ֑ם SDBH the sea וּבִתוּבְנָתוֹ SDBH by His understanding מָ֣חַץ SDBH He shattered רָֽהַב׃ SDBH Rahab

He divideth the yam with His ko'ach, and by His understanding He struck down Rahav.

בְּ֭רוּחוֹ SDBH By His breath שָׁמַ֣יִם SDBH the skies שִׁפְרָ֑ה SDBH were cleared חֹֽלֲלָ֥ה SDBH pierced יָ֝ד֗וֹ SDBH His hand נָחָ֥שׁ SDBH serpent בָּרִֽיחַ׃ SDBH the fleeing

By His Ruach He hath made fair Shomayim; His yad hath pierced the fleeing nachash.

14

הֶן־ Indeed אֵ֤לֶּה׀ SDBH these [are] קְצ֬וֹת SDBH but the fringes דַּרְכּוֹ SDBH of His ways וּמַה־ SDBH how שֵּׁ֣מֶץ SDBH faint דָּ֭בָר SDBH is the whisper נִשְׁמַע־ SDBH we hear בּ֑וֹ of Him וְרַ֥עַם SDBH the thunder גְּבוּרָתוֹ SDBH of His power מִ֣י SDBH Who then יִתְבּוֹנָֽן׃ס SDBH can understand

Lo, these are but the ketzot of His ways, but how faint the davar we hear of Him. And the thunder of His gevurah who can understand?
