Yeshayah 11 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

1

וְיָצָ֥א SDBH will spring up חֹ֖טֶר SDBH Then a shoot מִגֵּ֣זַע SDBH from the stump יִשָׁ֑י SDBH of Jesse וְנֵ֖צֶר SDBH and a Branch מִשָּׁרָשָׁ֥יו SDBH from his roots יִפְרֶֽה׃ SDBH will bear fruit

And there shall come forth a Khoter (Branch) out of the Geza (Stem, Stump, Stock) of Yishai, and a Netzer [Branch [SEE TZEMACH, MOSHIACH JER 23:5; 33:15; ZECH 3:8; 6:12, EZRA 3:8 WHICH GIVE AS MOSHIACH'S NAMESAKE YEHOSHUA/YESHUA; COMPARE MT.2:23 OJBC] shall bear fruit of his roots:

וְנָחָ֥ה SDBH will rest עָלָ֖יו on Him ר֣וּחַ SDBH The Spirit יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi ר֧וּחַ SDBH the Spirit חָכְמָ֣ה SDBH of wisdom וּבִינָ֗ה SDBH and understanding ר֤וּחַ SDBH the Spirit עֵצָה֙ SDBH of counsel וּגְבוּרָ֔ה SDBH and strength ר֥וּחַ SDBH the Spirit דַּ֖עַת SDBH of knowledge וְיִרְאַ֥ת SDBH and fear יְהוָֽה׃ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi

And the Ruach [Hakodesh] of Hashem shall rest upon Him, the Ruach of Chochmah and Binah, the Ruach of Etzah (Counsel [see Isaiah 9:5) and Gevurah, the Ruach of Da'as and of the Yir'at Hashem;

וַהֲרִיח֖וֹ SDBH And He will delight בְּיִרְאַ֣ת SDBH in the fear יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְלֹֽא־ SDBH He will not לְמַרְאֵ֤ה SDBH see עֵינָיו֙ SDBH by what His eyes יִשְׁפּ֔וֹט SDBH judge וְלֹֽא־ SDBH and He will not לְמִשְׁמַ֥ע SDBH hear אָזְנָ֖יו SDBH by what His ears יוֹכִֽיחַ׃ SDBH decide

And His delight shall be in the Yir'at Hashem: and He shall not judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ears:

וְשָׁפַ֤ט SDBH He will judge בְּצֶ֙דֶק֙ SDBH but with righteousness דַּלִּ֔ים SDBH the poor וְהוֹכִ֥יחַ SDBH He will decide בְּמִישׁ֖וֹר SDBH and with equity לְעַנְוֵי־ SDBH for the lowly אָ֑רֶץ SDBH of the earth וְהִֽכָּה־ SDBH He will strike אֶ֙רֶץ֙ SDBH the earth בְּשֵׁ֣בֶט SDBH with the rod פִּ֔יו SDBH of His mouth וּבְר֥וּחַ SDBH with the breath שְׂפָתָ֖יו SDBH of His lips יָמִ֥ית SDBH and slay רָשָֽׁע׃ SDBH the wicked

But with tzedek shall He judge the needy, and reprove with mishor (equity, justice) for the anvei eretz: and He shall strike the earth with the shevet of His mouth, and with the Ruach of His lips shall he slay the reshah.

וְהָ֥יָה will be צֶ֖דֶק SDBH Righteousness אֵז֣וֹר SDBH the belt מָתְנָ֑יו SDBH around His hips וְהָאֱמוּנָ֖ה SDBH and faithfulness אֵז֥וֹר SDBH the sash חֲלָצָֽיו׃ SDBH around His waist

And tzedek shall be the ezor (belt) of His loins, and emunah (faithfulness) the ezor of His waist.

וְגָ֤ר SDBH will live זְאֵב֙ SDBH The wolf עִם־ with כֶּ֔בֶשׂ SDBH the lamb וְנָמֵ֖ר SDBH and the leopard עִם־ with גְּדִ֣י SDBH the goat יִרְבָּ֑ץ SDBH will lie down וְעֵ֨גֶל SDBH the calf וּכְפִ֤יר SDBH and young lion וּמְרִיא֙ SDBH and fatling יַחְדָּ֔ו SDBH will be together וְנַ֥עַר SDBH and a little child קָטֹ֖ן SDBH . . . נֹהֵ֥ג SDBH will lead בָּֽם׃ them

The ze'ev (wolf) also shall dwell with the keves, and the namer (leopard) shall lie down with the gedi (young goat); and the egel and the lion whelp and the fatling together; and a na'ar shall lead them.

וּפָרָ֤ה SDBH The cow וָדֹב֙ SDBH with the bear תִּרְעֶ֔ינָה SDBH will graze יַחְדָּ֖ו SDBH together יִרְבְּצ֣וּ SDBH will lie down יַלְדֵיהֶ֑ן SDBH their young וְאַרְיֵ֖ה SDBH and the lion כַּבָּקָ֥ר SDBH like the ox יֹֽאכַל־ SDBH will eat תֶּֽבֶן׃ SDBH straw

And the parah (cow) and the dov (bear) shall feed together; their yeladim shall lie down together; and the aryeh shall eat teven (straw) like the ox.

וְשִֽׁעֲשַׁ֥ע SDBH will play יוֹנֵ֖ק SDBH The infant עַל־ by חֻ֣ר SDBH den פָּ֑תֶן SDBH the cobra’s וְעַל֙ into מְאוּרַ֣ת SDBH nest צִפְעוֹנִ֔י SDBH the viper’s גָּמ֖וּל SDBH and the toddler יָד֥וֹ SDBH . . . הָדָֽה׃ SDBH will reach

And the yonek (sucking infant) shall play on the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his yad in the viper's me'urah (hole).

9

לֹֽא־ SDBH They will neither יָרֵ֥עוּ SDBH harm וְלֹֽא־ SDBH nor יַשְׁחִ֖יתוּ SDBH destroy בְּכָל־ on all הַ֣ר SDBH mountain קָדְשִׁ֑י SDBH My holy כִּֽי־ for מָלְאָ֣ה SDBH will be full הָאָ֗רֶץ SDBH the earth דֵּעָה֙ SDBH of the knowledge אֶת־ SDBH - יְהוָ֔ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi כַּמַּ֖יִם SDBH of water לַיָּ֥ם SDBH as the sea מְכַסִּֽים׃פ SDBH is full

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My Har Kodesh; for ha'aretz shall be full of the da'as Hashem, as the mayim cover the sea.

10

וְהָיָה֙ - בַּיּ֣וֹם SDBH day הַה֔וּא SDBH On that שֹׁ֣רֶשׁ SDBH the Root יִשַׁ֗י SDBH of Jesse אֲשֶׁ֤ר SDBH - עֹמֵד֙ SDBH will stand לְנֵ֣ס SDBH as a banner עַמִּ֔ים SDBH for the peoples אֵלָ֖יו . . . גּוֹיִ֣ם SDBH The nations יִדְרֹ֑שׁוּ SDBH will seek Him וְהָיְתָ֥ה . . . מְנֻחָת֖וֹ SDBH and His place of rest כָּבֽוֹד׃פ SDBH will be glorious

And in Yom HaHu there shall be a Shoresh Yishai, which shall stand for a nes (banner) for the peoples; to Him [Moshiach] will the Goyim seek; and His menucha (resting place) shall be kavod.

11

וְהָיָ֣ה׀ - בַּיּ֣וֹם SDBH day הַה֗וּא SDBH On that יוֹסִ֨יף SDBH . . . אֲדֹנָ֤י׀ SDBH the Lord שֵׁנִית֙ SDBH a second time יָד֔וֹ SDBH will extend His hand לִקְנ֖וֹת SDBH to recover אֶת־ SDBH - שְׁאָ֣ר SDBH the remnant עַמּ֑וֹ SDBH of His people אֲשֶׁ֣ר SDBH - יִשָּׁאֵר֩ SDBH - מֵאַשּׁ֨וּר SDBH from Assyria וּמִמִּצְרַ֜יִם SDBH from Egypt וּמִפַּתְר֣וֹס SDBH from Pathros וּמִכּ֗וּשׁ SDBH from Cush וּמֵעֵילָ֤ם SDBH from Elam וּמִשִּׁנְעָר֙ SDBH from Shinar וּמֵ֣חֲמָ֔ת SDBH from Hamath וּמֵאִיֵּ֖י SDBH and from the islands הַיָּֽם׃ SDBH of the sea

And it shall come to pass in Yom HaHu, that Adonoi shall set His yad again the second time to recover the She'ar (Remnant) of His people, which shall be left [as survivors], from Assyria, and from Mitzrayim, and from Patros, and from Kush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Chamat, and from the islands of the sea.

12

וְנָשָׂ֥א SDBH He will raise נֵס֙ SDBH a banner לַגּוֹיִ֔ם SDBH for the nations וְאָסַ֖ף SDBH and gather נִדְחֵ֣י SDBH the exiles יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל SDBH of Israel וּנְפֻצ֤וֹת SDBH the scattered יְהוּדָה֙ SDBH of Judah יְקַבֵּ֔ץ SDBH He will collect מֵאַרְבַּ֖ע SDBH from the four כַּנְפ֥וֹת SDBH corners הָאָֽרֶץ׃ SDBH of the earth

And He shall raise up a nes [a banner, I.E., SEND A SIGNAL] for the Goyim, and shall assemble the outcasts of Yisroel, and gather together the dispersed of Yehudah from the four corners of ha'aretz.

13

וְסָ֙רָה֙ SDBH will depart קִנְאַ֣ת SDBH Then the jealousy אֶפְרַ֔יִם SDBH of Ephraim וְצֹרְרֵ֥י SDBH and the adversaries יְהוּדָ֖ה SDBH of Judah יִכָּרֵ֑תוּ SDBH will be cut off אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ SDBH Ephraim לֹֽא־ SDBH will no longer יְקַנֵּ֣א SDBH envy אֶת־ SDBH יְהוּדָ֔ה SDBH Judah וִֽיהוּדָ֖ה SDBH Judah לֹֽא־ SDBH nor will יָצֹ֥ר SDBH harass אֶת־ SDBH אֶפְרָֽיִם׃ SDBH Ephraim

The kinah (envy, jealousy) also of Ephrayim shall depart, and the adversaries of Yehudah shall be cut off; Ephrayim shall not envy Yehudah, and Yehudah shall not harass Ephrayim.

14

וְעָפ֨וּ SDBH They will swoop down בְכָתֵ֤ף SDBH on the slopes פְּלִשְׁתִּים֙ SDBH of the Philistines יָ֔מָּה SDBH to the west יַחְדָּ֖ו SDBH together יָבֹ֣זּוּ SDBH they will plunder אֶת־ SDBH - בְּנֵי־ SDBH the sons קֶ֑דֶם SDBH of the east אֱד֤וֹם SDBH on Edom וּמוֹאָב֙ SDBH and Moab מִשְׁל֣וֹח SDBH They will lay יָדָ֔ם SDBH their hands וּבְנֵ֥י SDBH and the Ammonites עַמּ֖וֹן SDBH . . . מִשְׁמַעְתָּֽם׃ SDBH will be subject to them

But they shall swoop down upon the shoulders of the Pelishtim toward the west; they shall plunder them of the east together; they shall lay their yad upon Edom and Moav; and the Bnei Ammon shall obey them.

15

וְהֶחֱרִ֣ים SDBH will devote to destruction יְהוָ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֵ֚ת SDBH - לְשׁ֣וֹן SDBH the gulf יָם־ SDBH of the Sea מִצְרַ֔יִם SDBH of Egypt וְהֵנִ֥יף SDBH He will sweep יָד֛וֹ SDBH His hand עַל־ over הַנָּהָ֖ר SDBH the Euphrates בַּעְיָ֣ם SDBH with a scorching רוּח֑וֹ SDBH wind וְהִכָּ֙הוּ֙ SDBH He will split it לְשִׁבְעָ֣ה SDBH into seven נְחָלִ֔ים SDBH streams וְהִדְרִ֖יךְ SDBH for men to cross בַּנְּעָלִֽים׃ SDBH with dry sandals

And Hashem shall utterly destroy the leshon Yam Mitzrayim (tongue of the Red Sea); and with His scorchimg Ruach shall He shake His Yad over the Nahar [i.e., Euphrates River], and shall break it into seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

16

וְהָיְתָ֣ה There will be מְסִלָּ֔ה SDBH a highway לִשְׁאָ֣ר SDBH for the remnant עַמּ֔וֹ SDBH of His people אֲשֶׁ֥ר SDBH who יִשָּׁאֵ֖ר SDBH remain מֵֽאַשּׁ֑וּר SDBH from Assyria כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר SDBH as הָֽיְתָה֙ there was לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל SDBH for Israel בְּי֥וֹם SDBH when עֲלֹת֖וֹ SDBH they came up מֵאֶ֥רֶץ SDBH from the land מִצְרָֽיִם׃ SDBH of Egypt

And there shall be a mesillah (highway) for the she'ar (remnant) of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria; just as it was for Yisroel in the Yom that he came up out of Eretz Mitzrayim.
