Tehillim 97 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi מָ֭לָךְ SDBH reigns תָּגֵ֣ל SDBH rejoice הָאָ֑רֶץ SDBH let the earth יִ֝שְׂמְח֗וּ SDBH be glad אִיִּ֥ים SDBH shores רַבִּֽים׃ SDBH let the distant

Hashem reigneth; let ha'aretz rejoice; let the multitude of isles thereof be glad.

עָנָ֣ן SDBH Clouds וַעֲרָפֶ֣ל SDBH and darkness סְבִיבָ֑יו surround Him צֶ֥דֶק SDBH righteousness וּ֝מִשְׁפָּ֗ט SDBH and justice מְכ֣וֹן SDBH foundation כִּסְאֽוֹ׃ SDBH are His throne’s

Anan and darkness are round about Him; tzedek and mishpat are the foundation of His kisse.

אֵ֭שׁ SDBH Fire לְפָנָ֣יו before Him תֵּלֵ֑ךְ SDBH goes וּתְלַהֵ֖ט SDBH and consumes סָבִ֣יב on every side צָרָֽיו׃ SDBH His foes

Eish goeth before Him, and burneth up His enemies on every side.

הֵאִ֣ירוּ SDBH illuminates בְרָקָ֣יו SDBH His lightning תֵּבֵ֑ל SDBH the world רָאֲתָ֖ה SDBH sees וַתָּחֵ֣ל SDBH and trembles הָאָֽרֶץ׃ SDBH the earth

His lightnings light up the tevel; ha'aretz saw, and trembled.

הָרִ֗ים SDBH The mountains כַּדּוֹנַ֗ג SDBH like wax נָ֭מַסּוּ SDBH melt מִלִּפְנֵ֣י at the presence יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi מִ֝לִּפְנֵ֗י before אֲד֣וֹן SDBH the Lord כָּל־ of all הָאָֽרֶץ׃ SDBH the earth

The harim melted like wax at the presence of Hashem, at the presence of Adon kol HaAretz.

הִגִּ֣ידוּ SDBH proclaim הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם SDBH The heavens צִדְק֑וֹ SDBH His righteousness וְרָא֖וּ SDBH see כָל־ all הָעַמִּ֣ים SDBH the peoples כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃ SDBH His glory

HaShomayim declare His tzedek, and kol ha'amim see His kavod.

יֵבֹ֤שׁוּ׀ SDBH are put to shame כָּל־ All עֹ֬בְדֵי SDBH worshipers פֶ֗סֶל SDBH of images הַמִּֽתְהַלְלִ֥ים SDBH those who boast בָּאֱלִילִ֑ים SDBH in idols הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־ SDBH Worship ל֝וֹ Him כָּל־ all אֱלֹהִֽים׃ SDBH [you] g-ds

Shamed be all they that serve pesel, that boast themselves of elilim; worship Him, kol elohim.

שָׁמְעָ֬ה SDBH hears וַתִּשְׂמַ֨ח׀ SDBH and rejoices צִיּ֗וֹן SDBH Zion וַ֭תָּגֵלְנָה SDBH exult בְּנ֣וֹת SDBH and the towns יְהוּדָ֑ה SDBH of Judah לְמַ֖עַן because of מִשְׁפָּטֶ֣יךָ SDBH Your judgments יְהוָֽה׃ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi

Tziyon heard, and was glad; and the banot Yehudah rejoiced because of Thy mishpatim, Hashem.

כִּֽי־ For אַתָּ֤ה SDBH You יְהוָ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi עֶלְי֥וֹן SDBH are Most High עַל־ over כָּל־ all הָאָ֑רֶץ SDBH the earth מְאֹ֥ד far נַ֝עֲלֵ֗יתָ SDBH You are exalted עַל־ above כָּל־ all אֱלֹהִֽים׃ SDBH g-ds

For Thou, Hashem, art Elyon above kol ha'aretz; Thou art exalted far above kol elohim.

אֹהֲבֵ֥י SDBH O you who love יְהוָ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi שִׂנְא֫וּ SDBH Hate רָ֥ע SDBH evil שֹׁ֭מֵר SDBH He preserves נַפְשׁ֣וֹת SDBH the souls חֲסִידָ֑יו SDBH of His saints מִיַּ֥ד SDBH from the hand רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים SDBH of the wicked יַצִּילֵֽם׃ SDBH He delivers them

Ye that love Hashem, hate rah; He preserveth the nefashot of His chasidim; He delivereth them out of the yad resha'im.

א֭וֹר SDBH Light זָרֻ֣עַ SDBH shines לַצַּדִּ֑יק SDBH on the righteous וּֽלְיִשְׁרֵי־ SDBH on the upright לֵ֥ב SDBH in heart שִׂמְחָֽה׃ SDBH gladness

Ohr dawns for the tzaddik, and simchah for the yishrei lev (upright in heart).

שִׂמְח֣וּ SDBH Rejoice צַ֭דִּיקִים SDBH you righteous ones בַּֽיהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְ֝הוֹד֗וּ SDBH and praise לְזֵ֣כֶר SDBH name קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ SDBH His holy

Rejoice in Hashem, ye tzaddikim; and give thanks at the remembrance of His kodesh (holiness).
