Tehillim 144 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

לְדָוִ֨ד׀ SDBH Of David בָּ֘ר֤וּךְ SDBH Blessed יְהוָ֨ה׀ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi צוּרִ֗י SDBH my Rock הַֽמְלַמֵּ֣ד SDBH who trains יָדַ֣י SDBH my hands לַקְרָ֑ב SDBH for war אֶ֝צְבְּעוֹתַ֗י SDBH my fingers לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ SDBH for battle

(Mizmor of Dovid). Baruch Hashem my Tzur (rock) which teacheth my hands for war, and my fingers for milchamah (battle);

חַסְדִּ֥י SDBH He is my steadfast love וּמְצוּדָתִי֮ SDBH and my fortress מִשְׂגַּבִּ֪י SDBH my stronghold וּֽמְפַלְטִ֫י SDBH and my deliverer לִ֥י מָ֭גִנִּי SDBH He is my shield וּב֣וֹ חָסִ֑יתִי SDBH in whom I take refuge הָרוֹדֵ֖ד SDBH who subdues עַמִּ֣י SDBH peoples תַחְתָּֽי׃ SDBH under me

My Chesed, and my Metzudah (Fortress); my Stronghold, and my Deliverer; my Mogen, and He in Whom I take refuge; Who subdueth my people under me.

יְֽהוָ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi מָה־ SDBH what אָ֭דָם SDBH is man וַתֵּדָעֵ֑הוּ SDBH that You regard him בֶּן־ SDBH the son of man אֱ֝נ֗וֹשׁ SDBH that וַֽתְּחַשְּׁבֵֽהוּ׃ SDBH You think of him

Hashem, what is adam, that Thou takest knowledge of him! Or the ben enosh, that Thou takest account of him!

אָ֭דָם SDBH Man לַהֶ֣בֶל SDBH a breath דָּמָ֑ה SDBH is like יָ֝מָ֗יו SDBH his days כְּצֵ֣ל SDBH shadow עוֹבֵֽר׃ SDBH are like a passing

Adam is like hevel; his days are as a tzel that passeth away.

יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi הַט־ SDBH Part שָׁמֶ֣יךָ SDBH Your heavens וְתֵרֵ֑ד SDBH and come down גַּ֖ע SDBH touch בֶּהָרִ֣ים SDBH the mountains וְֽיֶעֱשָֽׁנוּ׃ SDBH that they may smoke

Part Thy heavens, Hashem, and come down; touch the harim, and they shall smoke.

בְּר֣וֹק SDBH Flash forth בָּ֭רָק SDBH Your lightning וּתְפִיצֵ֑ם SDBH and scatter them שְׁלַ֥ח SDBH shoot חִ֝צֶּ֗יךָ SDBH Your arrows וּתְהֻמֵּֽם׃ SDBH and rout them

Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; shoot Thine khitzim (arrows), and destroy them.

שְׁלַ֥ח SDBH Reach down יָדֶ֗יךָ SDBH from the grasp מִמָּ֫ר֥וֹם SDBH from on high פְּצֵ֣נִי SDBH set me free וְ֭הַצִּילֵנִי SDBH and rescue me מִמַּ֣יִם SDBH waters רַבִּ֑ים SDBH from the deep מִ֝יַּ֗ד SDBH . . . בְּנֵ֣י SDBH vvv נֵכָֽר׃ SDBH of foreigners

Send Thine Yad from above; rescue me, and deliver me out of mayim rabbim, from the yad Bnei Nekhar;

אֲשֶׁ֣ר SDBH whose פִּ֭יהֶם SDBH mouths דִּבֶּר־ SDBH speak שָׁ֑וְא SDBH falsehood וִֽ֝ימִינָ֗ם SDBH whose right hands יְמִ֣ין SDBH . . . שָֽׁקֶר׃ SDBH are deceitful

Whose mouth speaketh shav (lies), and their right hand is a right hand of sheker.

אֱ‍ֽלֹהִ֗ים SDBH O G-d שִׁ֣יר SDBH I will sing חָ֭דָשׁ SDBH a new אָשִׁ֣ירָה SDBH song לָּ֑ךְ to You בְּנֵ֥בֶל SDBH on a harp עָ֝שׂ֗וֹר SDBH of ten strings אֲזַמְּרָה־ SDBH I will make music לָּֽךְ׃ to You

I will sing a shir chadash unto Thee, O Elohim; upon a nevel of ten strings will I make music unto Thee.

הַנּוֹתֵ֥ן to Him who gives תְּשׁוּעָ֗ה SDBH victory לַמְּלָ֫כִ֥ים SDBH to kings הַ֭פּוֹצֶה SDBH who frees אֶת־ SDBH - דָּוִ֥ד SDBH David עַבְדּ֗וֹ SDBH His servant מֵחֶ֥רֶב SDBH sword רָעָֽה׃ SDBH from the deadly

It is He that giveth Teshu'ah (deliverance, salvation) unto melachim; Who delivereth Dovid His eved from the cherev ra'ah.

פְּצֵ֥נִי SDBH Set me free וְהַצִּילֵנִי֮ SDBH and rescue me מִיַּ֪ד SDBH from the grasp בְּֽנֵי־ SDBH of foreigners נֵ֫כָ֥ר SDBH . . . אֲשֶׁ֣ר SDBH whose פִּ֭יהֶם SDBH mouths דִּבֶּר־ SDBH speak שָׁ֑וְא SDBH falsehood וִֽ֝ימִינָ֗ם SDBH whose right hands יְמִ֣ין SDBH . . . שָֽׁקֶר׃ SDBH are deceitful

Rescue me, and save me from the yad Bnei Nekhar, whose mouth speaketh shav (lies) and their right hand is a right yad of sheker;

אֲשֶׁ֤ר SDBH Then בָּנֵ֨ינוּ׀ SDBH our sons כִּנְטִעִים֮ SDBH will be like plants מְגֻדָּלִ֪ים SDBH nurtured בִּֽנְעוּרֵ֫יהֶ֥ם SDBH in their youth בְּנוֹתֵ֥ינוּ SDBH our daughters כְזָוִיֹּ֑ת SDBH like corner pillars מְ֝חֻטָּב֗וֹת SDBH carved תַּבְנִ֥ית SDBH to adorn הֵיכָֽל׃ SDBH a palace

In their youth, may baneinu (our sons) be like plants full grown; may benoteinu (our daughters) be like cornerstones, columns wrought for the Heikhal;

מְזָוֵ֣ינוּ SDBH Our storehouses מְלֵאִים֮ SDBH will be full מְפִיקִ֥ים SDBH supplying מִזַּ֗ן SDBH all manner of אֶ֫ל־ . . . זַ֥ן SDBH produce צֹאונֵ֣נוּ SDBH our flocks מַ֭אֲלִיפוֹת SDBH will bring forth thousands מְרֻבָּב֗וֹת SDBH tens of thousands בְּחוּצוֹתֵֽינוּ׃ SDBH in our fields

That our barns may be full, affording all manner of provision; that our tzon may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our meadows;

אַלּוּפֵ֗ינוּ SDBH Our oxen מְֽסֻבָּ֫לִ֥ים SDBH will bear great loads אֵֽין־ SDBH There will be no פֶּ֭רֶץ SDBH breach in the walls וְאֵ֣ין SDBH no יוֹצֵ֑את SDBH going into captivity וְאֵ֥ין SDBH and no צְ֝וָחָ֗ה SDBH cry of lament בִּרְחֹבֹתֵֽינוּ׃ SDBH in our streets

That our oxen may be strong to labor; that there be no peretz (breach) nor golus; that there be no cry of anquish in our streets.

15

אַשְׁרֵ֣י SDBH Blessed הָ֭עָם SDBH are the people שֶׁכָּ֣כָה SDBH of whom this is so לּ֑וֹ אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י SDBH blessed הָ֝עָ֗ם SDBH are the people שֶׁיֲהוָ֥ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֱלֹהָֽיו׃ SDBH whose G-d

Ashrei are such people; Ashrei is the people that Hashem is Elohav.
