Tehillim 141 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

מִזְמ֗וֹר SDBH A Psalm לְדָ֫וִ֥ד SDBH of David יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi קְ֭רָאתִיךָ SDBH I call upon You ח֣וּשָׁה SDBH come quickly לִּ֑י to me הַאֲזִ֥ינָה SDBH Hear ק֝וֹלִ֗י SDBH my voice בְּקָרְאִי־ SDBH when I call לָֽךְ׃ to You

(Mizmor of Dovid) Hashem, I cry unto Thee; make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto Thee.

תִּכּ֤וֹן SDBH be set תְּפִלָּתִ֣י SDBH May my prayer קְטֹ֣רֶת SDBH like incense לְפָנֶ֑יךָ before You מַֽשְׂאַ֥ת SDBH my uplifted כַּ֝פַּ֗י SDBH hands מִנְחַת־ SDBH offering עָֽרֶב׃ SDBH like the evening

Let my tefillah be set forth before Thee like ketoret; and the lifting up of my hands as the minchat erev.

שִׁיתָ֣ה SDBH Set יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi שָׁמְרָ֣ה SDBH a guard לְפִ֑י SDBH over my mouth נִ֝צְּרָ֗ה SDBH keep watch עַל־ at דַּ֥ל SDBH the door שְׂפָתָֽי׃ SDBH of my lips

Be shomer, Hashem, over my mouth; guard the door of my lips.

אַל־ Do not let תַּט־ SDBH be drawn לִבִּ֨י SDBH my heart לְדָבָ֪ר׀ SDBH thing רָ֡ע SDBH to any evil לְהִתְע֘וֹלֵ֤ל SDBH or take part עֲלִל֨וֹת׀ SDBH in works בְּרֶ֗שַׁע SDBH of wickedness אֶת־ SDBH with אִישִׁ֥ים SDBH men פֹּֽעֲלֵי־ SDBH who do אָ֑וֶן SDBH iniquity וּבַל־ SDBH let me not אֶ֝לְחַ֗ם SDBH feast בְּמַנְעַמֵּיהֶֽם׃ SDBH on their delicacies

Let not my lev incline to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.

יֶֽהֶלְמֵֽנִי־ SDBH strike me צַדִּ֨יק׀ SDBH Let the righteous man חֶ֡סֶד SDBH be an act of loving devotion וְֽיוֹכִיחֵ֗נִי SDBH let his rebuke שֶׁ֣מֶן SDBH It is oil רֹ֭אשׁ SDBH for my head אַל־ let me not יָנִ֣י SDBH refuse it רֹאשִׁ֑י SDBH . . . כִּי־ For ע֥וֹד . . . וּ֝תְפִלָּתִ֗י SDBH my prayer is ever against בְּרָעוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ SDBH the deeds of the wicked

Let the tzaddik strike me; it shall be chesed; and let him reprove me; it shall be shemen, which my rosh shall not refuse; for still shall my tefillah be against their evil deeds.

נִשְׁמְט֣וּ SDBH are thrown down בִֽידֵי־ SDBH from סֶ֭לַע SDBH the cliffs שֹׁפְטֵיהֶ֑ם SDBH When their rulers וְשָׁמְע֥וּ SDBH the people will listen אֲ֝מָרַ֗י SDBH to my words כִּ֣י for נָעֵֽמוּ׃ SDBH they are pleasant

Their shofetim are overthrown in stony places; they hear my words; for they are pleasant.

כְּמ֤וֹ SDBH As when פֹלֵ֣חַ SDBH one plows וּבֹקֵ֣עַ SDBH and breaks up בָּאָ֑רֶץ SDBH the soil נִפְזְר֥וּ SDBH have been scattered עֲ֝צָמֵ֗ינוּ SDBH so our bones לְפִ֣י SDBH at the mouth שְׁאֽוֹל׃ SDBH of Sheol

Atzameinu (our bones) are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon ha'aretz.

כִּ֤י But אֵלֶ֨יךָ׀ are fixed on You יְהֹוִ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֲדֹנָ֣י SDBH the Lord עֵינָ֑י SDBH my eyes בְּכָ֥ה In You חָ֝סִ֗יתִי SDBH I seek refuge אַל־ do not תְּעַ֥ר SDBH leave נַפְשִֽׁי׃ SDBH my soul {defenseless}

But mine eyes are unto Thee, Hashem Adonoi; in Thee do I take refuge; leave not my nefesh defenseless.

שָׁמְרֵ֗נִי SDBH Keep me מִ֣ידֵי SDBH from פַ֭ח SDBH the snares יָ֣קְשׁוּ SDBH they have laid לִ֑י for me וּ֝מֹקְשׁ֗וֹת SDBH and from the lures פֹּ֣עֲלֵי SDBH of evildoers אָֽוֶן׃ SDBH . . .

Keep me from the pach (snare, trap) which they have laid for me, and the traps of the workers of iniquity.

יִפְּל֣וּ SDBH fall בְמַכְמֹרָ֣יו SDBH into their own nets רְשָׁעִ֑ים SDBH Let the wicked יַ֥חַד SDBH . . . אָ֝נֹכִ֗י SDBH I עַֽד־ SDBH while אֶעֱבֽוֹר׃ SDBH pass by in safety

Let the resha'im fall into their own nets, while I escape safely.
