Yeshayah 61 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

ר֛וּחַ SDBH The Spirit אֲדֹנָ֥י SDBH of the Lord יְהוִ֖ה SDBH G-D עָלָ֑י is on Me יַ֡עַן SDBH because מָשַׁח֩ SDBH has anointed Me יְהוָ֨ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֹתִ֜י SDBH - לְבַשֵּׂ֣ר SDBH to preach good news עֲנָוִ֗ים SDBH to the poor שְׁלָחַ֙נִי֙ SDBH He has sent Me לַחֲבֹ֣שׁ SDBH to bind up לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי־ SDBH the brokenhearted לֵ֔ב SDBH . . . לִקְרֹ֤א SDBH to proclaim לִשְׁבוּיִם֙ SDBH to the captives דְּר֔וֹר SDBH liberty וְלַאֲסוּרִ֖ים SDBH to the prisoners פְּקַח־ SDBH vvv קֽוֹחַ׃ SDBH and freedom

The Ruach [Hakodesh] of Adonoi Hashem is upon me [Moshiach], because Hashem mashach (hath anointed) me [Moshiach] to preach besurah (good news, glad tidings) unto the anavim (meek, poor, oppressed); He hath sent me to bind up the nishberei lev (the brokenhearted), to proclaim deror (freedom, liberty) for the shevuyim ([Golus] captives), and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

לִקְרֹ֤א SDBH to proclaim שְׁנַת־ SDBH the year רָצוֹן֙ SDBH favor לַֽיהוָ֔ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְי֥וֹם SDBH and the day נָקָ֖ם SDBH vengeance לֵאלֹהֵ֑ינוּ SDBH of our G-d’s לְנַחֵ֖ם SDBH to comfort כָּל־ all אֲבֵלִֽים׃ SDBH who mourn

To proclaim the Shnat Ratzon L'Hashem (the year of the L-rd's favor and grace), and the Yom Nakam L'Eloheinu (our G-d's Day of Vengeance); to comfort all the avelim (mourners);

לָשׂ֣וּם׀ SDBH to console לַאֲבֵלֵ֣י SDBH the mourners צִיּ֗וֹן SDBH in Zion לָתֵת֩ to give לָהֶ֨ם them פְּאֵ֜ר SDBH a crown of beauty תַּ֣חַת SDBH for אֵ֗פֶר SDBH ashes שֶׁ֤מֶן SDBH the oil שָׂשׂוֹן֙ SDBH of joy תַּ֣חַת SDBH for אֵ֔בֶל SDBH mourning מַעֲטֵ֣ה SDBH and a garment תְהִלָּ֔ה SDBH of praise תַּ֖חַת SDBH for ר֣וּחַ SDBH a spirit כֵּהָ֑ה SDBH of despair וְקֹרָ֤א SDBH So they will be called לָהֶם֙ . . . אֵילֵ֣י SDBH oaks הַצֶּ֔דֶק SDBH of righteousness מַטַּ֥ע SDBH the planting יְהוָ֖ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi לְהִתְפָּאֵֽר׃ SDBH that He may be glorified

To grant unto Avelei Tziyon (Mourners of Zion), giving unto them a flower wreath instead of ashes, the shemen sasson (oil of joy) instead of avel (mourning), the garment of tehillah (praise) for the ruach of keheh (fainting, a heavy spirit); that they might be called Eilei HaTzedek (Oaks of Righteousness), the planting of Hashem, that He might be glorified.

וּבָנוּ֙ SDBH They will rebuild חָרְב֣וֹת SDBH ruins עוֹלָ֔ם SDBH the ancient שֹׁמְמ֥וֹת SDBH devastated רִֽאשֹׁנִ֖ים SDBH the places long יְקוֹמֵ֑מוּ SDBH they will restore וְחִדְּשׁוּ֙ SDBH they will renew עָ֣רֵי SDBH cities חֹ֔רֶב SDBH the ruined שֹׁמְמ֖וֹת SDBH the desolations דּ֥וֹר SDBH of many וָדֽוֹר׃ SDBH generations

And they shall rebuild charvot olam (the old ruins), they shall raise up the shomemot rishonim (former desolations), and they shall make new the cities of chorev (ruin), the shomemot (desolations) dor vador.

וְעָמְד֣וּ SDBH will stand זָרִ֔ים SDBH Strangers וְרָע֖וּ SDBH and feed צֹאנְכֶ֑ם SDBH your flocks וּבְנֵ֣י SDBH and foreigners נֵכָ֔ר SDBH . . . אִכָּרֵיכֶ֖ם SDBH will be your plowmen וְכֹרְמֵיכֶֽם׃ SDBH and vinedressers

And zarim shall stand and shepherd your tzon, and bnei nekhar shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

וְאַתֶּ֗ם SDBH But you כֹּהֲנֵ֤י SDBH the priests יְהוָה֙ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi תִּקָּרֵ֔אוּ SDBH will be called מְשָׁרְתֵ֣י SDBH as ministers אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ SDBH of our G-d יֵאָמֵ֖ר SDBH they will speak לָכֶ֑ם of you חֵ֤יל SDBH the wealth גּוֹיִם֙ SDBH of nations תֹּאכֵ֔לוּ SDBH you will feed on וּבִכְבוֹדָ֖ם SDBH in their riches תִּתְיַמָּֽרוּ׃ SDBH and you will boast

But ye shall be named the Kohanim of Hashem; men shall call you the Mesharetim (Ministers) of Eloheinu; ye shall eat the chayil Goyim, (wealth of Nations) and in their kavod shall ye boast.

תַּ֤חַת SDBH Instead בָּשְׁתְּכֶם֙ SDBH of shame מִשְׁנֶ֔ה SDBH [My people will have a] double portion וּכְלִמָּ֖ה SDBH and [instead of] humiliation יָרֹ֣נּוּ SDBH they will rejoice חֶלְקָ֑ם SDBH in their share לָכֵ֤ן SDBH and so בְּאַרְצָם֙ SDBH in their land מִשְׁנֶ֣ה SDBH a double portion יִירָ֔שׁוּ SDBH they will inherit שִׂמְחַ֥ת SDBH joy עוֹלָ֖ם SDBH and everlasting תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה will be לָהֶֽם׃ theirs

Instead of your bushah (shame) ye shall have a mishneh (double [portion]); and for dishonor they shall rejoice in their chelek (portion): therefore in their land they shall possess the mishneh; simchat olam (everlasting joy) shall be unto them.

כִּ֣י For אֲנִ֤י SDBH I יְהוָה֙ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֹהֵ֣ב SDBH love מִשְׁפָּ֔ט SDBH justice שֹׂנֵ֥א SDBH I hate גָזֵ֖ל SDBH robbery בְּעוֹלָ֑ה SDBH and iniquity וְנָתַתִּ֤י I will give them פְעֻלָּתָם֙ SDBH their recompense בֶּאֱמֶ֔ת SDBH in My faithfulness וּבְרִ֥ית SDBH covenant עוֹלָ֖ם SDBH an everlasting אֶכְר֥וֹת SDBH and make לָהֶֽם׃ with them

For I Hashem love mishpat, I hate gazel (robbery) in [obtaining] the olah (burnt offering); and I will direct their work in emes, and I will make a Brit Olam [Gn 12:1- 3; Isa 55:3] with them.

וְנוֹדַ֤ע SDBH will be known בַּגּוֹיִם֙ SDBH among the nations זַרְעָ֔ם SDBH Their descendants וְצֶאֱצָאֵיהֶ֖ם SDBH and their offspring בְּת֣וֹךְ SDBH among הָעַמִּ֑ים SDBH the peoples כָּל־ All רֹֽאֵיהֶם֙ SDBH who see them יַכִּיר֔וּם SDBH will acknowledge כִּ֛י that הֵ֥ם SDBH they זֶ֖רַע SDBH are a people בֵּרַ֥ךְ SDBH has blessed יְהוָֽה׃ס SDBH Hashem/Adonoi

And their zera shall be known among the Goyim and their offspring among the Nations: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the Zera Berach Hashem.

שׂ֧וֹשׂ SDBH I will rejoice greatly אָשִׂ֣ישׂ SDBH . . . בַּֽיהוָ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi תָּגֵ֤ל SDBH will exult נַפְשִׁי֙ SDBH my soul בֵּֽאלֹהַ֔י SDBH in my G-d כִּ֤י for הִלְבִּישַׁ֙נִי֙ SDBH He has clothed me בִּגְדֵי־ SDBH with garments יֶ֔שַׁע SDBH of salvation מְעִ֥יל SDBH in a robe צְדָקָ֖ה SDBH of righteousness יְעָטָ֑נִי SDBH and wrapped me כֶּֽחָתָן֙ SDBH as a bridegroom יְכַהֵ֣ן SDBH wears a priestly פְּאֵ֔ר SDBH headdress וְכַכַּלָּ֖ה SDBH as a bride תַּעְדֶּ֥ה SDBH adorns herself כֵלֶֽיהָ׃ SDBH with her jewels

I will greatly rejoice in Hashem, my nefesh shall be joyful in Elohai; for He hath clothed me with the Bigdei Yesha (Garments of Salvation), He hath covered me with Me'il Tzedakah (the Robe of Righteousness) like a Choson arrays himself with splendor, and like a Kallah adorneth herself with her jewels.

כִּ֤י For כָאָ֙רֶץ֙ SDBH as the earth תּוֹצִ֣יא SDBH brings forth צִמְחָ֔הּ SDBH its growth וּכְגַנָּ֖ה SDBH and as a garden זֵרוּעֶ֣יהָ SDBH enables seed תַצְמִ֑יחַ SDBH to spring up כֵּ֣ן׀ SDBH so אֲדֹנָ֣י SDBH the Lord יְהוִ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi יַצְמִ֤יחַ SDBH to spring up צְדָקָה֙ SDBH will cause righteousness וּתְהִלָּ֔ה SDBH and praise נֶ֖גֶד before כָּל־ all הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ SDBH the nations

For as Eretz bringeth forth her tzemach, and as the gan (garden) the things that are sown in it tatzmiach (causes [them] to spring forth); so Adonoi Hashem will tzedakah (righteousness) and tehillah (praise) yatzmiach (cause [them] to spring forth) before kol HaGoyim.
