Yeshayah 46 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

כָּרַ֥ע SDBH crouches בֵּל֙ SDBH Bel קֹרֵ֣ס SDBH cowers נְב֔וֹ SDBH Nebo הָיוּ֙ . . . עֲצַבֵּיהֶ֔ם SDBH Their idols לַחַיָּ֖ה SDBH [weigh down] beasts וְלַבְּהֵמָ֑ה SDBH and cattle נְשֻׂאֹתֵיכֶ֣ם SDBH The images you carry עֲמוּס֔וֹת SDBH are burdensome מַשָּׂ֖א SDBH a load לַעֲיֵפָֽה׃ SDBH to the weary [animal]

Bel boweth down, Nevo stoopeth low, their atzabim (idols) were upon the beasts, and upon the behemah; your litters were heavy laden; they are a massa (burden) to the weary beast.

קָרְס֤וּ SDBH The g-ds cower כָֽרְעוּ֙ SDBH they crouch יַחְדָּ֔ו SDBH together לֹ֥א SDBH vvv יָכְל֖וּ SDBH unable מַלֵּ֣ט SDBH to relieve מַשָּׂ֑א SDBH the burden וְנַפְשָׁ֖ם SDBH but they בַּשְּׁבִ֥י SDBH into captivity הָלָֽכָה׃ס SDBH themselves go

They stoop, they bow down together; they [BEL AND NEVO, G-DS OF BABYLON] could not save the massa (burden), but their own selves are gone into shevi (captivity, Golus).

שִׁמְע֤וּ SDBH Listen אֵלַי֙ to Me בֵּ֣ית SDBH O house יַעֲקֹ֔ב SDBH of Jacob וְכָל־ all שְׁאֵרִ֖ית SDBH the remnant בֵּ֣ית SDBH of the house יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל SDBH of Israel הַֽעֲמֻסִים֙ SDBH who have been sustained מִנִּי־ from בֶ֔טֶן SDBH the womb הַנְּשֻׂאִ֖ים SDBH carried along מִנִּי־ since רָֽחַם׃ SDBH birth

Pay heed unto Me, O Bais Ya'akov, and kol She'erit Bais Yisroel, who are borne by Me from birth, who are carried from the rechem (womb);

וְעַד־ SDBH Even to זִקְנָה֙ SDBH your old age אֲנִ֣י SDBH I ה֔וּא SDBH will be the same וְעַד־ SDBH when שֵיבָ֖ה SDBH you turn gray אֲנִ֣י SDBH and I אֶסְבֹּ֑ל SDBH will bear you up אֲנִ֤י SDBH I עָשִׂ֙יתִי֙ SDBH have made you וַאֲנִ֣י SDBH and I אֶשָּׂ֔א SDBH will carry you וַאֲנִ֥י SDBH I אֶסְבֹּ֖ל SDBH will sustain you וַאֲמַלֵּֽט׃ס SDBH and deliver you

And even to your ziknah (old age) I am He; and even to [your] gray hair will I carry you; I have made, and I will carry; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

לְמִ֥י SDBH To whom תְדַמְי֖וּנִי SDBH will you liken Me וְתַשְׁו֑וּ SDBH or count Me equal וְתַמְשִׁל֖וּנִי SDBH To whom will you compare Me וְנִדְמֶֽה׃ SDBH that we should be alike

Lemi (to whom) will ye compare Me, and make Me equal, and liken Me, that we may be comparable?

הַזָּלִ֤ים SDBH They pour out זָהָב֙ SDBH of gold מִכִּ֔יס SDBH their bags וְכֶ֖סֶף SDBH silver בַּקָּנֶ֣ה SDBH on scales יִשְׁקֹ֑לוּ SDBH and weigh out יִשְׂכְּר֤וּ SDBH they hire צוֹרֵף֙ SDBH a goldsmith וְיַעֲשֵׂ֣הוּ SDBH to fashion it אֵ֔ל SDBH into a g-d יִסְגְּד֖וּ SDBH so they can bow down אַף־ SDBH and יִֽשְׁתַּחֲוּֽוּ׃ SDBH worship

They lavish zahav out of the bag, and weigh kesef on the scale, and hire a tzoref (goldsmith); and he maketh it El (G-d); they fall down, yes, they bow down in worship.

יִ֠שָּׂאֻהוּ SDBH They lift עַל־ it to כָּתֵ֨ף SDBH their shoulder יִסְבְּלֻ֜הוּ SDBH and carry it along וְיַנִּיחֻ֤הוּ SDBH they set תַחְתָּיו֙ SDBH it in its place וְיַֽעֲמֹ֔ד SDBH and there it stands מִמְּקוֹמ֖וֹ SDBH that spot לֹ֣א SDBH not יָמִ֑ישׁ SDBH budging אַף־ SDBH from יִצְעַ֤ק SDBH They cry out אֵלָיו֙ to it וְלֹ֣א SDBH but it does not יַעֲנֶ֔ה SDBH answer מִצָּרָת֖וֹ SDBH from his troubles לֹ֥א SDBH no one יוֹשִׁיעֶֽנּוּ׃ס SDBH it saves

They bear him upon the katef (shoulder), they carry him, and set him up in his place, and he standeth; from his makom shall he not move; yes, though one shall cry out unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his tzoros.

זִכְרוּ־ SDBH Remember זֹ֖את SDBH this וְהִתְאֹשָׁ֑שׁוּ SDBH and be brave הָשִׁ֥יבוּ SDBH take פוֹשְׁעִ֖ים SDBH you transgressors עַל־ it to לֵֽב׃ SDBH heart

Remember this, and stand firm; bring it again to lev (heart, mind), O ye poshe'im (rebelling, transgressing ones).

זִכְר֥וּ SDBH Remember רִאשֹׁנ֖וֹת SDBH what happened מֵעוֹלָ֑ם SDBH long ago כִּ֣י for אָנֹכִ֥י SDBH I אֵל֙ SDBH am G-d וְאֵ֣ין SDBH and there is no ע֔וֹד other אֱלֹהִ֖ים SDBH I am G-d וְאֶ֥פֶס SDBH and [there is] none כָּמֽוֹנִי׃ SDBH like Me

Remember the rishonot (former things) me'olam (of old); for I am El (G-d), and there is not another [G-d]; Elohim, and there is none like Me.

מַגִּ֤יד SDBH I declare מֵֽרֵאשִׁית֙ SDBH from the beginning אַחֲרִ֔ית SDBH the end וּמִקֶּ֖דֶם SDBH and ancient times אֲשֶׁ֣ר SDBH from what לֹא־ SDBH is still נַעֲשׂ֑וּ SDBH to come אֹמֵר֙ SDBH I say עֲצָתִ֣י SDBH My purpose תָק֔וּם SDBH will stand וְכָל־ and all חֶפְצִ֖י SDBH My good pleasure אֶעֱשֶֽׂה׃ SDBH I will accomplish

Making known acharim (end-times things) from reshit (the beginning), and mikedem (from ancient times) the things that have not yet happened, saying, My etza (counsel, purpose, plan) shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure;

קֹרֵ֤א SDBH I summon מִמִּזְרָח֙ SDBH from the east עַ֔יִט SDBH a bird of prey מֵאֶ֥רֶץ SDBH land מֶרְחָ֖ק SDBH from a far-off אִ֣ישׁ SDBH a man עֲצָתוֹ SDBH for My purpose אַף־ SDBH Truly דִּבַּ֙רְתִּי֙ SDBH I have spoken אַף־ SDBH and truly אֲבִיאֶ֔נָּה SDBH I will bring it to pass יָצַ֖רְתִּי SDBH I have planned it אַף־ SDBH and I will surely אֶעֱשֶֽׂנָּה׃ס SDBH do it

Calling a bird of prey from the mizrach (east), the ish that executeth My etza (counsel, purpose, plan) from a far country; yes, I have spoken it, I will indeed bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

שִׁמְע֥וּ SDBH Listen אֵלַ֖י to Me אַבִּ֣ירֵי SDBH you stubborn לֵ֑ב SDBH people הָרְחוֹקִ֖ים SDBH far removed מִצְּדָקָֽה׃ SDBH from righteousness

Pay heed unto Me, ye abirei lev (stubborn of heart), that are far from tzedakah;

קֵרַ֤בְתִּי SDBH near צִדְקָתִי֙ SDBH I am bringing My righteousness לֹ֣א SDBH it is not תִרְחָ֔ק SDBH far away וּתְשׁוּעָתִ֖י SDBH and My salvation לֹ֣א SDBH will not תְאַחֵ֑ר SDBH be delayed וְנָתַתִּ֤י I will grant בְצִיּוֹן֙ SDBH to Zion תְּשׁוּעָ֔ה SDBH salvation לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל SDBH [and adorn] Israel תִּפְאַרְתִּֽי׃ס SDBH with My splendor

I bring near My tzedakah; it shall not be far off, and My Teshuah (Salvation) shall not tarry; and I will place Teshuah in Tziyon for Yisroel Tife'arti (My Glory).
