לְכוּ֙ SDBH Come וְנָשׁ֣וּבָה SDBH let us return אֶל־ to יְהוָ֔ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi כִּ֛י For ה֥וּא SDBH He טָרָ֖ף SDBH has torn us to pieces וְיִרְפָּאֵ֑נוּ SDBH but He will heal us יַ֖ךְ SDBH He has wounded us וְיַחְבְּשֵֽׁנוּ׃ SDBH but He will bind up our wounds
Come, and let us return unto Hashem; for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath struck, and He will bind us up.

יְחַיֵּ֖נוּ SDBH He will revive us מִיֹּמָ֑יִם SDBH After two days בַּיּוֹם֙ SDBH day הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י SDBH on the third יְקִמֵ֖נוּ SDBH He will raise us up וְנִחְיֶ֥ה SDBH that we may live לְפָנָֽיו׃ in His presence
After two days He will revive us; in the Yom HaShelishi He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.

וְנֵדְעָ֣ה SDBH So let us know נִרְדְּפָ֗ה SDBH let us press on לָדַ֙עַת֙ SDBH to know אֶת־ SDBH יְהוָ֔ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi כְּשַׁ֖חַר SDBH the sun rises נָכ֣וֹן SDBH As surely as מֽוֹצָא֑וֹ SDBH He will appear וְיָב֤וֹא SDBH He will come כַגֶּ֙שֶׁם֙ SDBH like the rain לָ֔נוּ to us כְּמַלְק֖וֹשׁ SDBH like the spring showers י֥וֹרֶה SDBH that water אָֽרֶץ׃ SDBH the earth
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know Hashem; His going forth is prepared as the shachar (dawn); and He shall come unto us as the geshem (winter rain), as the malkosh (spring rain, i.e., as the latter and former rain, which is the winter and spring rain) unto ha'aretz.

מָ֤ה SDBH What אֶֽעֱשֶׂה־ SDBH shall I do לְּךָ֙ with you אֶפְרַ֔יִם SDBH O Ephraim מָ֥ה SDBH What אֶעֱשֶׂה־ SDBH shall I do לְּךָ֖ with you יְהוּדָ֑ה SDBH O Judah וְחַסְדְּכֶם֙ SDBH For your loyalty כַּֽעֲנַן־ SDBH mist בֹּ֔קֶר SDBH is like a morning וְכַטַּ֖ל SDBH dew מַשְׁכִּ֥ים SDBH like the early הֹלֵֽךְ׃ SDBH that vanishes
O Ephrayim, what shall I do unto thee? O Yehudah, what shall I do with thee? For your chesed (faithfulness, loyalty) is as an anan boker (morning cloud), and as the early dew that disappears.

עַל־ Therefore כֵּ֗ן SDBH . . . חָצַ֙בְתִּי֙ SDBH I have hewn [them] בַּנְּבִיאִ֔ים SDBH by the prophets הֲרַגְתִּ֖ים SDBH I have slain them בְּאִמְרֵי־ SDBH by the words פִ֑י SDBH of My mouth וּמִשְׁפָּטֶ֖יךָ SDBH and My judgments א֥וֹר SDBH like lightning יֵצֵֽא׃ SDBH go forth
Therefore have I cut them to pieces with the nevi'im; I have slain them by the words of My mouth; thy mishpatim are as the ohr (light, lightning) that goeth forth.

כִּ֛י For חֶ֥סֶד SDBH mercy חָפַ֖צְתִּי SDBH I desire וְלֹא־ SDBH not זָ֑בַח SDBH sacrifice וְדַ֥עַת SDBH and the knowledge אֱלֹהִ֖ים SDBH of G-d מֵעֹלֽוֹת׃ SDBH rather than burnt offerings
For I desired chesed, and not zevach; and the da'as Elohim more than olot (burnt offerings). [Mt 9:13 OJBC]

וְהֵ֕מָּה SDBH But they כְּאָדָ֖ם SDBH like Adam עָבְר֣וּ SDBH have transgressed בְרִ֑ית SDBH the covenant שָׁ֖ם SDBH there בָּ֥גְדוּ SDBH they were unfaithful בִֽי׃ to Me
But they are like Adam, they have transgressed the brit (covenant); there have they dealt treacherously against Me.

גִּלְעָ֕ד SDBH Gilead קִרְיַ֖ת SDBH is a city פֹּ֣עֲלֵי SDBH of evildoers אָ֑וֶן SDBH . . . עֲקֻבָּ֖ה SDBH tracked with footprints מִדָּֽם׃ SDBH of blood
Gil`ad is a city of evildoers, is trodden with dahm.

וּכְחַכֵּ֨י SDBH who lie in ambush אִ֜ישׁ SDBH . . . גְּדוּדִ֗ים SDBH Like raiders חֶ֚בֶר SDBH [so does] a band כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים SDBH of priests דֶּ֖רֶךְ SDBH on the way יְרַצְּחוּ־ SDBH they murder שֶׁ֑כְמָה SDBH to Shechem כִּ֥י surely זִמָּ֖ה SDBH atrocities עָשֽׂוּ׃ SDBH they have committed
And as gedudim (marauders) lie in wait for a man, so the chever (band) [of] kohanim murder in the way to Shechem; for they commit shameful crimes.
I have seen a horrible thing in Bais Yisroel: there is the zenut (whoredom) of Ephrayim; Yisroel is tameh (unclean, defiled).

גַּם־ SDBH Also יְהוּדָ֕ה SDBH O Judah שָׁ֥ת SDBH is appointed קָצִ֖יר SDBH a harvest לָ֑ךְ for you בְּשׁוּבִ֖י SDBH when I restore שְׁב֥וּת SDBH from captivity עַמִּֽי׃פ SDBH My people
Also, O Yehudah, he hath set a katzir (harvest [of punishment]) for thee, when I turn the Shevut Ami (Captivity of My people, i.e., restore their fortunes).
