And Dovid spoke unto Hashem the devarim of this shirah (song) in the day that Hashem had delivered him out of the palm of all his oyevim (enemies) and out of the palm of Sha'ul:

וַיֹּאמַ֑ר SDBH He said יְהוָ֛ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi סַֽלְעִ֥י SDBH is my rock וּמְצֻדָתִ֖י SDBH my fortress וּמְפַלְטִי־ SDBH and my deliverer לִֽי׃ . . .
And he said, Hashem is my rock, and my matzadah, and my deliverer;
3
אֱלֹהֵ֥י SDBH My G-d [is] צוּרִ֖י SDBH my rock אֶחֱסֶה־ SDBH in whom I take refuge בּ֑וֹ . . . מָגִנִּ֞י SDBH my shield וְקֶ֣רֶן SDBH and the horn יִשְׁעִ֗י SDBH of my salvation מִשְׂגַּבִּי֙ SDBH My stronghold וּמְנוּסִ֔י SDBH my refuge מֹשִׁעִ֕י SDBH and my Savior מֵחָמָ֖ס SDBH from violence תֹּשִׁעֵֽנִי׃ SDBH You save me
The Elohei (G-d of) my Tzur; in Him will I trust; He is my mogen, and the keren of my Salvation, my stronghold, and my refuge, my Moshia; Thou savest me from chamas.
4
מְהֻלָּ֖ל SDBH [who is worthy] to be praised אֶקְרָ֣א SDBH I will call upon יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וּמֵאֹיְבַ֖י SDBH from my enemies אִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃ SDBH so shall I be saved
I will call on Hashem, Who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my oyevim.
When the waves of mavet (death) compassed me, the floods of scoundrels overwhelm me;
The chevlei Sheol (cords of Sheol) encompassed me; the snares of mavet confronted me;

בַּצַּר־ SDBH In my distress לִי֙ . . . אֶקְרָ֣א SDBH I called upon יְהוָ֔ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְאֶל־ to אֱלֹהַ֖י SDBH my G-d אֶקְרָ֑א SDBH I cried out וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע SDBH He heard מֵהֵֽיכָלוֹ֙ SDBH And from His temple קוֹלִ֔י SDBH my voice וְשַׁוְעָתִ֖י SDBH and my cry for help בְּאָזְנָֽיו׃ SDBH reached His ears
In my distress I called upon Hashem, and cried to Elohai; and He did hear my voice out of His Heikhal, and my cry did enter into His oznayim.
8
וַתִּגְעַשׁ SDBH shook וַתִּרְעַשׁ֙ SDBH and quaked הָאָ֔רֶץ SDBH Then the earth מוֹסְד֥וֹת SDBH the foundations הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם SDBH of the heavens יִרְגָּ֑זוּ SDBH trembled וַיִּֽתְגָּעֲשׁ֖וּ SDBH they were shaken כִּֽי־ because חָ֥רָה SDBH He burned with anger לֽוֹ׃
Then ha'aretz shook and trembled; the mosedot (foundations) of Shomayim moved and shook, because He was in wrath.
There went up an ashan (smoke) out of His nostrils, and eish out of His peh (mouth) devoured; coals were kindled by it.
10
He bowed HaShomayim also, and came down; and a dark cloud was under His raglayim.
And He rode upon a keruv, and did fly; and He was seen upon the wings of the ruach.
And He made choshech sukkot round about Him, dark mayim, and thick clouds of the skies.
13
מִנֹּ֖גַהּ SDBH From the brightness נֶגְדּ֑וֹ of His presence בָּעֲר֖וּ SDBH blazed forth גַּחֲלֵי־ SDBH coals אֵֽשׁ׃ SDBH of fire
Through the radiant brightness before Him were coals of eish kindled.
14
יַרְעֵ֥ם SDBH thundered מִן־ from שָׁמַ֖יִם SDBH heaven יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְעֶלְי֖וֹן SDBH of the Most High יִתֵּ֥ן resounded קוֹלֽוֹ׃ SDBH the voice
Hashem thundered from Shomayim, and Elyon uttered His voice.
15
וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח SDBH He shot חִצִּ֖ים SDBH His arrows וַיְפִיצֵ֑ם SDBH and scattered [the foes] בָּרָ֖ק SDBH He hurled lightning וַיְהֻמֵּם׃ SDBH and routed them
He sent out khitzim, and scattered them; lightning, and vanquished them.
16
וַיֵּֽרָאוּ֙ SDBH appeared אֲפִ֣קֵי SDBH The channels יָ֔ם SDBH of the sea יִגָּל֖וּ SDBH were exposed מֹסְד֣וֹת SDBH [and] the foundations תֵּבֵ֑ל SDBH of the world בְּגַעֲרַ֣ת SDBH at the rebuke יְהוָ֔ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi מִנִּשְׁמַ֖ת SDBH at the blast ר֥וּחַ SDBH of the breath אַפּֽוֹ׃ SDBH of His nostrils
And the channels of the yam appeared, the mosedot (foundations) of the tevel (world) were uncovered, at the rebuking of Hashem, at the blast of the ruach of His nostrils.
He sent from on High, He took me; He drew me out of mayim rabbim;
He delivered me from my strong oyev, and from them that hated me; for they were too strong for me.
19
יְקַדְּמֻ֖נִי SDBH They confronted me בְּי֣וֹם SDBH in my day אֵידִ֑י SDBH of calamity וַיְהִ֧י was יְהוָ֛ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi מִשְׁעָ֖ן SDBH my support לִֽי׃
They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but Hashem was my support.
20
וַיֹּצֵ֥א SDBH He brought me out לַמֶּרְחָ֖ב SDBH into the open אֹתִ֑י SDBH - יְחַלְּצֵ֖נִי SDBH He rescued me כִּי־ because חָ֥פֵֽץ SDBH He delighted בִּֽי׃ in me
He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because chafetz (He delighted) in me.
21
יִגְמְלֵ֥נִי SDBH has rewarded me יְהוָ֖ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi כְּצִדְקָתִ֑י SDBH according to my righteousness כְּבֹ֥ר SDBH according to the cleanness יָדַ֖י SDBH of my hands יָשִׁ֥יב SDBH He has repaid לִֽי׃ me
Hashem rewarded me according to my tzedakah; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.
22
For I have been shomer over the drakhei Hashem, and have not wickedly departed from Elohai [SEE AC 21:21].
For all His mishpatim were before me; as for His chukkot, I did not depart from them.
24
וָאֶהְיֶ֥ה And I תָמִ֖ים SDBH have been blameless ל֑וֹ before Him וָאֶשְׁתַּמְּרָ֖ה SDBH and kept myself מֵעֲוֺנִֽי׃ SDBH from iniquity
I was also tamim (blameless) before Him, and have kept myself from mine avon (iniquity).
25
וַיָּ֧שֶׁב SDBH has repaid יְהוָ֛ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi לִ֖י me כְּצִדְקָתִ֑י SDBH according to my righteousness כְּבֹרִ֖י SDBH according to my cleanness לְנֶ֥גֶד in עֵינָֽיו׃ SDBH His sight
Therefore Hashem hath rewarded me according to my tzedakah; according to my cleanness before His eyesight.
26
עִם־ To חָסִ֖יד SDBH the faithful תִּתְחַסָּ֑ד SDBH You show Yourself faithful עִם־ to גִּבּ֥וֹר SDBH . . . תָּמִ֖ים SDBH the blameless תִּתַּמָּֽם׃ SDBH You show Yourself blameless
With the chasid (loyal, the one having chesed, the devout one) Thou wilt show Thyself loyal, and with the Gibbor tamim (blameless man) Thou wilt show Thyself blameless.
27
עִם־ to נָבָ֖ר SDBH the pure תִּתָּבָ֑ר SDBH You show Yourself pure וְעִם־ but to עִקֵּ֖שׁ SDBH the crooked תִּתַּפָּֽל׃ SDBH You show Yourself shrewd
With the pure Thou wilt show Thyself pure; and with the ikkesh (crooked, devious) Thou wilt show Thyself shrewd.
28
And the Am oni (afflicted people) Thou wilt save; but Thine eyes are upon the haughty, that Thou mayest bring them down.
For Thou art my ner (lamp), Hashem; and Hashem will lighten my choshech.
30
כִּ֥י For בְכָ֖ה in You אָר֣וּץ SDBH I can charge גְּד֑וּד SDBH an army בֵּאלֹהַ֖י SDBH with my G-d אֲדַלֶּג־ SDBH I can scale שֽׁוּר׃ SDBH a wall
For by Thee I have run through a troop; by Elohai can I leap over a wall.
31
הָאֵ֖ל SDBH [As for] G-d תָּמִ֣ים SDBH is perfect דַּרְכּ֑וֹ SDBH His way אִמְרַ֤ת SDBH the word יְהוָה֙ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi צְרוּפָ֔ה SDBH is flawless מָגֵ֣ן SDBH is a shield ה֔וּא SDBH He לְכֹ֖ל to all הַחֹסִ֥ים SDBH who take refuge בּֽוֹ׃ in Him
As for G-d, His derech is tamim; the Word of Hashem is proven; He is a mogen (shield) to all them that trust in Him.
For who is G-d, save Hashem? And who is Tzur, save Eloheinu?
G-d is my ma'oz and power; and He maketh my derech perfect.
He maketh my feet like the feet of ayyalot (deer); and maketh me stand upon my high places.
He teacheth my yadayim for milchamah; so that a keshet nechoshah is bent by mine arms.
36
וַתִּתֶּן־ You have given לִ֖י me מָגֵ֣ן SDBH Your shield יִשְׁעֶ֑ךָ SDBH of salvation וַעֲנֹתְךָ֖ SDBH and Your gentleness תַּרְבֵּֽנִי׃ exalts me
Thou hast also given me the mogen of Thy Salvation; and hath stooped down to make me great.
Thou hast enlarged my stride under me; so that my karsulayim do not slip.
38
I have pursued mine oyevim, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise; indeed, they are fallen under my raglayim.
For Thou hast girded me with chayil (strength) for milchamah (battle); them that rose up against me hast Thou caused to bow down under me.
41
וְאֹ֣יְבַ֔י SDBH my enemies תַּ֥תָּה You have made לִּ֖י before me עֹ֑רֶף SDBH retreat מְשַׂנְאַ֖י SDBH to those who hated me וָאַצְמִיתֵֽם׃ SDBH I destroyed
Thou hast also given me victory over the necks of mine oyevim, that I might destroy them that hate me.
42
יִשְׁע֖וּ SDBH They looked וְאֵ֣ין SDBH but [there was] no one מֹשִׁ֑יעַ SDBH to save them אֶל־ to יְהוָ֖ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְלֹ֥א SDBH but He did not עָנָֽם׃ SDBH answer
They looked, but there was no moshia; even unto Hashem, but He answered them not.
43
וְאֶשְׁחָקֵ֖ם SDBH I ground them כַּעֲפַר־ SDBH as the dust אָ֑רֶץ SDBH of the earth כְּטִיט־ SDBH like mud חוּצ֥וֹת SDBH in the streets אֲדִקֵּ֖ם SDBH I crushed אֶרְקָעֵֽם׃ SDBH and trampled them
Then did I beat them as small as the aphar of eretz, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did scatter them abroad.
44
וַֽתְּפַלְּטֵ֔נִי SDBH You have delivered me מֵרִיבֵ֖י SDBH from the strife עַמִּ֑י SDBH of my people תִּשְׁמְרֵ֙נִי֙ SDBH You have preserved me לְרֹ֣אשׁ SDBH as the head גּוֹיִ֔ם SDBH of nations עַ֥ם SDBH a people לֹא־ SDBH I had not יָדַ֖עְתִּי SDBH known יַעַבְדֻֽנִי׃ SDBH shall serve me
Thou also hast delivered me from the contentions of my people, Thou hast kept me to be Rosh of the Goyim; a people which I knew not shall serve me [MT 28:19].
45
בְּנֵ֥י SDBH Foreigners נֵכָ֖ר SDBH . . . יִתְכַּֽחֲשׁוּ־ SDBH cower לִ֑י before me לִשְׁמ֥וֹעַ SDBH when they hear me אֹ֖זֶן SDBH . . . יִשָּׁ֥מְעוּ SDBH they obey לִֽי׃ me
Foreigners shall submit themselves unto me; as soon as they hear, they shall be mishma'at (obedient) unto me.
46
Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their misgerot (strongholds).
47
חַי־ SDBH lives יְהוָ֖ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וּבָר֣וּךְ SDBH and blessed [be] צוּרִ֑י SDBH my Rock וְיָרֻ֕ם SDBH be exalted אֱלֹהֵ֖י SDBH And may G-d צ֥וּר SDBH the Rock יִשְׁעִֽי׃ SDBH of my salvation
Hashem liveth; and baruch be my Tzur; and exalted be the Elohei Tzur of my Salvation.
48
It is G-d that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the nations under me.
And that bringeth me forth from mine oyevim; Thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me; Thou hast delivered me from the ish chamasim.
50
עַל־ Therefore כֵּ֛ן SDBH . . . אוֹדְךָ֥ SDBH I will praise You יְהוָ֖ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם SDBH among the nations וּלְשִׁמְךָ֖ SDBH to Your name אֲזַמֵּֽר׃ SDBH I will sing praises
Therefore I will give thanks unto Thee, Hashem, among the Goyim, and I will sing praises unto Shimecha (Thy Name).
51
He is the migdal Yeshu'ot for His melech; and showeth chesed to His Moshiach, unto Dovid, and to his zera ad- olam.
