לַ֭מְנַצֵּחַ SDBH For the choirmaster עַל־ To the tune of שׁוּשַׁ֣ן SDBH The Lily עֵד֑וּת SDBH of the Covenant מִכְתָּ֖ם SDBH A Miktam לְדָוִ֣ד SDBH of David לְלַמֵּֽד׃ SDBH for instruction בְּהַצּוֹת֨וֹ׀ SDBH When he fought אֶ֥ת SDBH - אֲרַ֣ם SDBH vvv נַהֲרַיִם֮ SDBH Aram-naharaim וְאֶת־ SDBH - אֲרַ֪ם SDBH vvv צ֫וֹבָ֥ה SDBH and Aram-zobah וַיָּ֤שָׁב SDBH returned יוֹאָ֗ב SDBH and Joab וַיַּ֣ךְ SDBH and struck down אֶת־ SDBH - אֱד֣וֹם SDBH Edomites בְּגֵיא־ SDBH in the Valley מֶ֑לַח SDBH of Salt שְׁנֵ֖ים SDBH 12,000 {} עָשָׂ֣ר SDBH . . . אָֽלֶף׃ SDBH . . . אֱ֭לֹהִים SDBH O G-d זְנַחְתָּ֣נוּ SDBH You have rejected us פְרַצְתָּ֑נוּ SDBH You have broken us אָ֝נַ֗פְתָּ SDBH You have been angry תְּשׁ֣וֹבֵ֥ב SDBH restore לָֽנוּ׃ us

(For the one directing. Set to The Shushan of the Edut. Mikhtam Dovid to instruct. When he fought Aram Naharayim and Aram Tzovah and when Yo'av returned and struck down 12,000 of Edom in the Gey Melach.) O Elohim, Thou hath rejected us, scattered us; Thou hast been angry; O restore us!

הִרְעַ֣שְׁתָּה SDBH You have shaken אֶ֣רֶץ SDBH the land פְּצַמְתָּ֑הּ SDBH and torn it open רְפָ֖ה SDBH Heal שְׁבָרֶ֣יהָ SDBH its fractures כִי־ for מָֽטָה׃ SDBH it is quaking

Thou hast made eretz to tremble; Thou hast torn it asunder, heal the fractures thereof; for it tottereth.

הִרְאִ֣יתָה SDBH You have shown עַמְּךָ֣ SDBH Your people קָשָׁ֑ה SDBH hardship הִ֝שְׁקִיתָ֗נוּ SDBH You made us drink יַ֣יִן SDBH from the wine תַּרְעֵלָֽה׃ SDBH we are staggered

Thou hast showed Thy people kashah (hard times); Thou hast made us to drink the yayin of tarelah (bewilderment, reeling).

נָ֘תַ֤תָּה You have raised לִּירֵאֶ֣יךָ SDBH for those who fear You נֵּ֭ס SDBH a banner לְהִתְנוֹסֵ֑ס SDBH that they may flee מִ֝פְּנֵ֗י . . . קֹ֣שֶׁט SDBH the bow סֶֽלָה׃ SDBH Selah

Thou hast set up a nes (banner) to them that fear Thee, that it may be unfurled on account of the truth. Selah.

לְ֭מַעַן that יֵחָלְצ֣וּן SDBH may be delivered יְדִידֶ֑יךָ SDBH Your beloved הוֹשִׁ֖יעָה SDBH and save us יְמִֽינְךָ֣ SDBH with Your right hand וַעֲנֵנוּ׃ SDBH Respond

That Thy Yedidot (beloved ones) may be saved; save with Thy Yamin (Right Hand) and hear me.

אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ SDBH G-d דִּבֶּ֥ר SDBH has spoken בְּקָדְשׁ֗וֹ SDBH from His sanctuary אֶ֫עְלֹ֥זָה SDBH I will triumph אֲחַלְּקָ֥ה SDBH I will parcel out שְׁכֶ֑ם SDBH Shechem וְעֵ֖מֶק SDBH the Valley סֻכּ֣וֹת SDBH of Succoth אֲמַדֵּֽד׃ SDBH and apportion

Elohim hath spoken in His Kodesh (Holiness); I will exult, I will parcel Shechem as chelek, and measure out the Valley of Sukkot.

לִ֤י is Mine גִלְעָ֨ד׀ SDBH Gilead וְלִ֬י is Mine מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה SDBH and Manasseh וְ֭אֶפְרַיִם SDBH Ephraim מָע֣וֹז SDBH is My helmet רֹאשִׁ֑י SDBH . . . יְ֝הוּדָ֗ה SDBH Judah [is] מְחֹֽקְקִי׃ SDBH My scepter

Gil`ad is Mine, and Menasheh is Mine; Ephrayim also is the ma'oz of Mine Rosh; Yehudah is My Mekhokek (prescriber of laws, lawgiver; SEE GN 49:10; ISA 42:4 ON MOSHIACH'S TORAH).

מוֹאָ֤ב׀ SDBH Moab סִ֬יר SDBH is My washbasin רַחְצִ֗י SDBH . . . עַל־ upon אֱ֭דוֹם SDBH Edom אַשְׁלִ֣יךְ SDBH I toss נַעֲלִ֑י SDBH My sandal עָ֝לַ֗י over פְּלֶ֣שֶׁת SDBH Philistia הִתְרֹעָֽעִֽי׃ SDBH I shout in triumph

Moav is My washpot; over Edom will I cast My sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph. [9](11)

מִ֣י SDBH Who יֹ֭בִלֵנִי SDBH will bring me עִ֣יר SDBH city מָצ֑וֹר SDBH to the fortified מִ֖י SDBH Who נָחַ֣נִי SDBH will lead me עַד־ SDBH to אֱדֽוֹם׃ SDBH Edom

Who will bring me to the Ir Matzon (city of fortification)? Who will bring me to Edom?

הֲלֹֽא־ SDBH Have You not אַתָּ֣ה SDBH . . . אֱלֹהִ֣ים SDBH O G-d זְנַחְתָּ֑נוּ SDBH rejected us וְֽלֹא־ SDBH Will You no longer תֵצֵ֥א SDBH march out אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים SDBH O G-d בְּצִבְאוֹתֵֽינוּ׃ SDBH with our armies

Wilt not Thou, O Elohim, which hadst cast us off? And Thou, O Elohim, which didst not go out with tzivoteinu (our armies)?

הָֽבָה־ SDBH Give לָּ֣נוּ us עֶזְרָ֣ת SDBH aid מִצָּ֑ר SDBH against the enemy וְ֝שָׁ֗וְא SDBH is worthless תְּשׁוּעַ֥ת SDBH for the help אָדָם׃ SDBH of man

Give us help against the enemy; for vain is the teshuat adam (help, salvation of or from Man).

בֵּֽאלֹהִ֥ים SDBH With G-d נַעֲשֶׂה־ SDBH we will perform חָ֑יִל SDBH with valor וְ֝ה֗וּא SDBH and He יָב֥וּס SDBH will trample צָרֵֽינוּ׃ SDBH our enemies

In Elohim shall we obtain the victory; for He it is that shall tread down tzareinu (our enemies, oppressors).
