לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ SDBH For the choirmaster בִּנְגִינֹ֗ת SDBH With stringed instruments מַשְׂכִּ֥יל SDBH A Maskil לְדָוִֽד׃ SDBH of David בְּב֣וֹא SDBH went הַ֭זִּיפִים SDBH When the Ziphites וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ SDBH and said לְשָׁא֑וּל SDBH to Saul הֲלֹ֥א SDBH not דָ֝וִ֗ד SDBH Is David מִסְתַּתֵּ֥ר SDBH hiding עִמָּֽנוּ׃ among us אֱ֭לֹהִים SDBH O G-d בְּשִׁמְךָ֣ SDBH by Your name הוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נִי SDBH Save me וּבִגְבוּרָתְךָ֥ SDBH by Your might תְדִינֵֽנִי׃ SDBH and vindicate me

(For the director. With stringed instruments. A maskil. For Dovid, when the Ziphim came and said to Sha'ul, Dovid is in hiding among us.) Hoshieini (save me), O Elohim, by Shimecha, and vindicate me by Thy gevurah (might, power).

אֱ֭לֹהִים SDBH O G-d שְׁמַ֣ע SDBH Hear תְּפִלָּתִ֑י SDBH my prayer הַ֝אֲזִ֗ינָה SDBH listen לְאִמְרֵי־ SDBH to the words פִֽי׃ SDBH of my mouth

Hear my tefillah, O Elohim; give ear to the words of my mouth.

כִּ֤י For זָרִ֨ים׀ SDBH strangers קָ֤מוּ SDBH rise up עָלַ֗י against me וְֽ֭עָרִיצִים SDBH and ruthless בִּקְשׁ֣וּ SDBH men seek נַפְשִׁ֑י SDBH my life לֹ֤א SDBH men with no שָׂ֨מוּ SDBH regard אֱלֹהִ֖ים SDBH for G-d לְנֶגְדָּ֣ם . . . סֶֽלָה׃ SDBH Selah

For zarim (strangers) are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my nefesh; they have not set Elohim before them. Selah.

הִנֵּ֣ה Surely אֱ֭לֹהִים SDBH G-d עֹזֵ֣ר SDBH is my helper לִ֑י אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י SDBH the Lord בְּֽסֹמְכֵ֥י SDBH is the sustainer נַפְשִֽׁי׃ SDBH of my soul

Hinei, Elohim is mine Ozer (helper); Adonoi is with them that uphold my nefesh.

יָשׁוֹב SDBH He will reward הָ֭רַע SDBH with evil לְשֹׁרְרָ֑י SDBH my enemies בַּ֝אֲמִתְּךָ֗ SDBH In Your faithfulness הַצְמִיתֵֽם׃ SDBH destroy them

He shall recompense the rah (evil) unto mine enemies; in Thy emes cut them off.

בִּנְדָבָ֥ה SDBH Freely אֶזְבְּחָה־ SDBH I will sacrifice לָּ֑ךְ to You א֤וֹדֶה SDBH I will praise שִּׁמְךָ֖ SDBH Your name יְהוָ֣ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi כִּי־ for טֽוֹב׃ SDBH it is good

I will sacrifice a nedavah (freewill offering) unto Thee; I will praise Shimecha, Hashem; for it is tov (good).

כִּ֣י For מִכָּל־ from every צָ֭רָה SDBH trouble הִצִּילָ֑נִי SDBH He has delivered me וּ֝בְאֹיְבַ֗י SDBH my foes רָאֲתָ֥ה SDBH have stared down עֵינִֽי׃ SDBH and my eyes

For He hath delivered me out of all my tzoros; and mine eye hath looked in triumph upon mine oyevim (enemies.)
