Tehillim 12 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ SDBH For the choirmaster עַֽל־ According to הַשְּׁמִינִ֗ית SDBH Sheminith מִזְמ֥וֹר SDBH A Psalm לְדָוִֽד׃ SDBH of David הוֹשִׁ֣יעָה SDBH Help יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi כִּי־ for גָמַ֣ר SDBH are no more חָסִ֑יד SDBH the g-dly כִּי־ . . . פַ֥סּוּ SDBH have vanished אֱ֝מוּנִ֗ים SDBH the faithful מִבְּנֵ֥י SDBH from among אָדָֽם׃ SDBH men

(For the one directing. According to the Sheminit. Mizmor Dovid) Help, Hashem; for the chasid is no more; for the emunim (faithful ones) vanish from among Bnei Adam.

שָׁ֤וְא׀ SDBH They lie יְֽדַבְּרוּ֮ SDBH . . . אִ֤ישׁ SDBH one אֶת־ SDBH to רֵ֫עֵ֥הוּ SDBH another שְׂפַ֥ת SDBH lips חֲלָק֑וֹת SDBH with flattering בְּלֵ֖ב SDBH [and] a double heart וָלֵ֣ב SDBH . . . יְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃ SDBH they speak

They speak vanity every one with his re'a (neighbor); with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

יַכְרֵ֣ת SDBH cut off יְ֭הוָה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi כָּל־ all שִׂפְתֵ֣י SDBH lips חֲלָק֑וֹת SDBH flattering לָ֝שׁ֗וֹן SDBH tongue מְדַבֶּ֥רֶת SDBH and [every] boastful גְּדֹלֽוֹת׃ SDBH . . .

Hashem shall cut off all flattering lips, and the leshon that speaketh gedolot;

אֲשֶׁ֤ר SDBH They אָֽמְר֨וּ׀ SDBH say לִלְשֹׁנֵ֣נוּ SDBH With our tongues נַ֭גְבִּיר SDBH we will prevail שְׂפָתֵ֣ינוּ SDBH our lips אִתָּ֑נוּ SDBH We own מִ֖י SDBH who אָד֣וֹן SDBH can be our master לָֽנוּ׃

Who have said, With leshoneinu (our tongue) will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is Adon over us?

מִשֹּׁ֥ד SDBH For the cause עֲנִיִּים֮ SDBH of the oppressed מֵאַנְקַ֪ת SDBH and for the groaning אֶבְי֫וֹנִ֥ים SDBH of the needy עַתָּ֣ה SDBH I will now אָ֭קוּם SDBH arise יֹאמַ֣ר SDBH says יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אָשִׁ֥ית SDBH I will bring בְּ֝יֵ֗שַׁע SDBH safety יָפִ֥יחַֽ SDBH to him who yearns לֽוֹ׃

For the oppression of the aniyim, for the groaning of the needy, now will I arise, saith Hashem; I will set him in safety from him that sneers at him.

אִֽמֲר֣וֹת SDBH The words יְהוָה֮ SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֲמָר֪וֹת SDBH . . . טְהֹ֫ר֥וֹת SDBH are flawless כֶּ֣סֶף SDBH like silver צָ֭רוּף SDBH refined בַּעֲלִ֣יל SDBH in a furnace לָאָ֑רֶץ SDBH like gold מְ֝זֻקָּ֗ק SDBH purified שִׁבְעָתָֽיִם׃ SDBH sevenfold

The words of Hashem are amarot tehorot (pure words); as kesef refined in the furnace on the earth, purified seven times.

אַתָּֽה־ SDBH You יְהוָ֥ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi תִּשְׁמְרֵ֑ם SDBH will keep us תִּצְּרֶ֓נּוּ׀ SDBH You will forever guard us מִן־ from הַדּ֖וֹר SDBH generation ז֣וּ SDBH this לְעוֹלָֽם׃ SDBH . . .

Thou shalt be shomer over them, Hashem, Thou shalt preserve him [see 5(6)] from this generation forever.

סָבִ֗יב freely רְשָׁעִ֥ים SDBH The wicked יִתְהַלָּכ֑וּן SDBH wander כְּרֻ֥ם SDBH is exalted זֻ֝לּ֗וּת SDBH and vileness לִבְנֵ֥י SDBH among אָדָֽם׃ SDBH men

The resha'im strut on every side, when the vilest among the Bnei Adam are exalted.
