Yehoshua 16 — Hebrew–OJB Interlinear

וַיֵּצֵ֨א SDBH extended הַגּוֹרָ֜ל SDBH The allotment לִבְנֵ֤י SDBH for the descendants יוֹסֵף֙ SDBH of Joseph מִיַּרְדֵּ֣ן SDBH from the Jordan יְרִיח֔וֹ SDBH at Jericho לְמֵ֥י SDBH to the waters יְרִיח֖וֹ SDBH of Jericho מִזְרָ֑חָה SDBH on the east הַמִּדְבָּ֗ר SDBH through the wilderness עֹלֶ֧ה SDBH that goes up מִירִיח֛וֹ SDBH from Jericho בָּהָ֖ר SDBH into the hill country בֵּֽית־ SDBH vvv אֵֽל׃ SDBH of Bethel

And the goral (lot) of the Bnei Yosef ran from the Yarden by Yericho, east of the spring at Yericho, to the midbar that goeth up from Yericho into the hill country of Beit-El,

וְיָצָ֥א SDBH It went on מִבֵּֽית־ SDBH from אֵ֖ל SDBH Bethel ל֑וּזָה SDBH ([that is,] Luz וְעָבַ֛ר SDBH and proceeded אֶל־ to גְּב֥וּל SDBH the border הָאַרְכִּ֖י SDBH of the Archites עֲטָרֽוֹת׃ SDBH in Ataroth

And goeth out from BeitEl to Luz, and passeth along unto the territory of Arkhi to Atarot,

וְיָֽרַד־ SDBH Then it descended יָ֜מָּה SDBH westward אֶל־ to גְּב֣וּל SDBH the border הַיַּפְלֵטִ֗י SDBH of the Japhletites עַ֣ד SDBH as גְּב֧וּל SDBH far as the border בֵּית־ SDBH of חוֹרֹ֛ן SDBH Beth-horon תַּחְתּ֖וֹן SDBH Lower וְעַד־ SDBH and on to גָּ֑זֶר SDBH Gezer וְהָי֥וּ and it ended תֹצְאֹתוֹ SDBH . . . יָֽמָּה׃ SDBH at the Sea

And goeth down westward to the territory of Yaphleti, unto the territory of Lower Beit Choron, and to Gezer; ending at the Yam [Mediterranean Sea].

וַיִּנְחֲל֥וּ SDBH received their inheritance בְנֵי־ SDBH the sons יוֹסֵ֖ף SDBH of Joseph מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה SDBH and Manasseh וְאֶפְרָֽיִם׃ SDBH So Ephraim

So the Bnei Yosef, Menasheh and Ephrayim, inherited their nachalah.

וַיְהִ֛י This was גְּב֥וּל SDBH the territory בְּנֵֽי־ SDBH of the descendants אֶפְרַ֖יִם SDBH of Ephraim לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם SDBH by their clans וַיְהִ֞י . . . גְּב֤וּל SDBH The border נַחֲלָתָם֙ SDBH of their inheritance מִזְרָ֔חָה SDBH in the east עַטְר֣וֹת SDBH אַדָּ֔ר SDBH went from Ataroth-addar עַד־ SDBH . . . בֵּ֥ית SDBH vvv חוֹרֹ֖ן SDBH Beth-horon עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ SDBH to Upper

And the boundary of the Bnei Ephrayim according to their mishpekhot was thus: the boundary of their nachalah on the east side was Atarot Addar, unto Upper Beit Choron;

וְיָצָ֨א SDBH and out toward הַגְּב֜וּל SDBH - הַיָּ֗מָּה SDBH the Sea הַֽמִּכְמְתָת֙ SDBH From Michmethath מִצָּפ֔וֹן SDBH on the north וְנָסַ֧ב SDBH turned הַגְּב֛וּל SDBH it מִזְרָ֖חָה SDBH eastward תַּאֲנַ֣ת SDBH vvv שִׁלֹ֑ה SDBH toward Taanath-shiloh וְעָבַ֣ר SDBH and passed by אוֹת֔וֹ SDBH it מִמִּזְרַ֖ח SDBH on the east יָנֽוֹחָה׃ SDBH to Janoah

And the boundary ran toward the Yam to Michmetat on the north side; and the boundary ran eastward unto Taanat Shiloh, and passed by it on the east to Yanochah;

וְיָרַ֥ד SDBH it went down מִיָּנ֖וֹחָה SDBH From Janoah עֲטָר֣וֹת SDBH to Ataroth וְנַעֲרָ֑תָה SDBH and Naarah וּפָגַע֙ SDBH and then reached בִּֽירִיח֔וֹ SDBH Jericho וְיָצָ֖א SDBH and came out הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ SDBH at the Jordan

And it ran down from Yanochah to Atarot, and to Naarah, and came to Yericho, and ran to an end at the Yarden.

מִתַּפּ֜וּחַ SDBH From Tappuah יֵלֵ֨ךְ SDBH went הַגְּב֥וּל SDBH the border יָ֙מָּה֙ SDBH westward נַ֣חַל SDBH to the Brook קָנָ֔ה SDBH of Kanah וְהָי֥וּ and ended תֹצְאֹתָ֖יו SDBH . . . הַיָּ֑מָּה SDBH at the Sea זֹ֗את SDBH This נַחֲלַ֛ת SDBH was the inheritance מַטֵּ֥ה SDBH of the tribe בְנֵי־ SDBH vvv אֶפְרַ֖יִם SDBH of Ephraim לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם׃ SDBH of the clans

The boundary ran from Tapuach westward unto the Wadi Kanah; and the end thereof ran to the Yam. This is the nachalah of the tribe of the Bnei Ephrayim by their mishpekhot.

וְהֶעָרִ֗ים SDBH - הַמִּבְדָּלוֹת֙ SDBH set apart לִבְנֵ֣י SDBH for the descendants אֶפְרַ֔יִם SDBH of Ephraim בְּת֖וֹךְ SDBH within נַחֲלַ֣ת SDBH the inheritance בְּנֵֽי־ SDBH vvv מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה SDBH of Manasseh כָּֽל־ [along] with all הֶעָרִ֖ים SDBH the cities וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃ SDBH and villages

And the towns set aside for the Bnei Ephrayim were inside the Bnei Menasheh, all the towns with their villages.

וְלֹ֣א SDBH But they did not הוֹרִ֔ישׁוּ SDBH drive out אֶת־ SDBH - הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י SDBH the Canaanites הַיּוֹשֵׁ֣ב SDBH who lived בְּגָ֑זֶר SDBH in Gezer וַיֵּ֨שֶׁב SDBH dwell הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֜י SDBH So the Canaanites בְּקֶ֤רֶב SDBH among אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ SDBH the Ephraimites עַד־ SDBH to הַיּ֣וֹם SDBH day הַזֶּ֔ה SDBH this וַיְהִ֖י but they are לְמַס־ SDBH forced עֹבֵֽד׃פ SDBH laborers

And they drove not out the Kena'ani that dwelt in Gezer: but the Kena'ani dwell among the Ephrayim unto yom hazeh, and serve under forced labor.
