בֶּן־ SDBH years old עֶשְׂרִ֨ים SDBH was twenty-five וְחָמֵ֤שׁ SDBH . . . שָׁנָה֙ SDBH . . . יוֹתָ֣ם SDBH Jotham בְּמָלְכ֔וֹ SDBH when he became king וְשֵׁשׁ־ SDBH sixteen עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה SDBH . . . שָׁנָ֔ה SDBH years מָלַ֖ךְ SDBH and he reigned בִּֽירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם SDBH in Jerusalem וְשֵׁ֣ם SDBH name אִמּ֔וֹ SDBH His mother’s יְרוּשָׁ֖ה SDBH was Jerushah בַּת־ SDBH daughter צָדֽוֹק׃ SDBH of Zadok

Yotam was twenty and five shanah when he began to reign, and he was king sixteen shanah in Yerushalayim. The shem immo also was Yerushah bat Tzadok.

וַיַּ֨עַשׂ SDBH And he did הַיָּשָׁ֜ר SDBH [what was] right בְּעֵינֵ֣י SDBH in the eyes יְהוָ֗ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi כְּכֹ֤ל just as אֲשֶׁר־ SDBH - עָשָׂה֙ SDBH had done עֻזִּיָּ֣הוּ SDBH Uzziah אָבִ֔יו SDBH his father רַ֕ק SDBH In addition לֹא־ SDBH he did not בָ֖א SDBH enter אֶל־ . . . הֵיכַ֣ל SDBH the temple יְהוָ֑ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְע֥וֹד still הָעָ֖ם SDBH But the people מַשְׁחִיתִֽים׃ SDBH behaved corruptly

And he did that which was yashar (right) in the eyes of Hashem, according to all that his av Uziyah did; howbeit he entered not into the Heikhal Hashem. And the people did corruptly still.

ה֗וּא SDBH Jotham בָּנָ֛ה SDBH rebuilt אֶת־ SDBH - שַׁ֥עַר SDBH Gate בֵּית־ SDBH of the house יְהוָ֖ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi הָעֶלְי֑וֹן SDBH the Upper וּבְחוֹמַ֥ת SDBH on the wall הָעֹ֛פֶל SDBH at [the hill of] Ophel בָּנָ֖ה SDBH and he worked לָרֹֽב׃ extensively

He built the upper sha'ar Beis Hashem, and on the chomat Ophel he built much.

וְעָרִ֥ים SDBH cities בָּנָ֖ה SDBH He also built בְּהַר־ SDBH in the hill country יְהוּדָ֑ה SDBH of Judah וּבֶחֳרָשִׁ֣ים SDBH in the forests בָּנָ֔ה SDBH . . . בִּֽירָנִיּ֖וֹת SDBH and fortresses וּמִגְדָּלִֽים׃ SDBH and towers

Moreover he built towns in the har Yehudah, and in the forests he built fortresses and migdalim.

וְ֠הוּא SDBH [Jotham] נִלְחַ֞ם SDBH waged war עִם־ against מֶ֣לֶךְ SDBH the king בְּנֵי־ SDBH of the Ammonites עַמּוֹן֮ SDBH . . . וַיֶּחֱזַ֣ק SDBH and defeated them עֲלֵיהֶם֒ . . . וַיִּתְּנוּ־ gave ל֨וֹ him בְנֵֽי־ SDBH they עַמּ֜וֹן SDBH . . . בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה SDBH year הַהִ֗יא SDBH and that מֵאָה֙ SDBH a hundred כִּכַּר־ SDBH talents כֶּ֔סֶף SDBH of silver וַעֲשֶׂ֨רֶת SDBH ten אֲלָפִ֤ים SDBH thousand כֹּרִים֙ SDBH cors חִטִּ֔ים SDBH of wheat וּשְׂעוֹרִ֖ים SDBH of barley עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת SDBH and ten אֲלָפִ֑ים SDBH thousand [cors] זֹ֗את SDBH the same הֵשִׁ֤יבוּ SDBH paid לוֹ֙ him בְּנֵ֣י SDBH [They] עַמּ֔וֹןס SDBH . . . וּבַשָּׁנָ֥ה SDBH years הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית SDBH in the second וְהַשְּׁלִשִֽׁית׃ SDBH and third

He fought also with Melech Bnei Ammon, and prevailed against them. And the Bnei Ammon gave him the same year a hundred talents of kesef, and ten thousand measures of chittim (wheat), and ten thousand of se'orim (barley). The Bnei Ammon did pay this amount unto him, both the second year, and the third.

וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֖ק SDBH grew powerful יוֹתָ֑ם SDBH So Jotham כִּ֚י because הֵכִ֣ין SDBH he ordered דְּרָכָ֔יו SDBH his ways לִפְנֵ֖י before יְהוָ֥ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֱלֹהָֽיו׃ SDBH his G-d

So Yotam became mighty, because he made the darkhei Yotam steadfast before Hashem Elohav.

וְיֶתֶר֙ SDBH As for the rest דִּבְרֵ֣י SDBH of the acts יוֹתָ֔ם SDBH of Jotham וְכָל־ along with all מִלְחֲמֹתָ֖יו SDBH his wars וּדְרָכָ֑יו SDBH and his ways הִנָּ֣ם they [are] indeed כְּתוּבִ֔ים SDBH written עַל־ in סֵ֥פֶר SDBH the Book מַלְכֵֽי־ SDBH of the Kings יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל SDBH of Israel וִיהוּדָֽה׃ SDBH and Judah

Now the rest of the divrei Yotam, and all his milchamot, and his ways, lo, they are written in the sefer of the melachim of Yisroel and Yehudah.

בֶּן־ SDBH years old עֶשְׂרִ֧ים SDBH twenty-five וְחָמֵ֛שׁ SDBH . . . שָׁנָ֖ה SDBH . . . הָיָ֣ה He was בְמָלְכ֑וֹ SDBH when he became king וְשֵׁשׁ־ SDBH sixteen עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה SDBH . . . שָׁנָ֔ה SDBH years מָלַ֖ךְ SDBH and he reigned בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ SDBH in Jerusalem

He was five and twenty shanah when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen shanah in Yerushalayim.

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב SDBH rested יוֹתָם֙ SDBH And Jotham עִם־ with אֲבֹתָ֔יו SDBH his fathers וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ SDBH and was buried אֹת֖וֹ SDBH - בְּעִ֣יר SDBH in the City דָּוִ֑יד SDBH of David וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ SDBH reigned אָחָ֥ז SDBH Ahaz בְּנ֖וֹ SDBH And his son תַּחְתָּֽיו׃פ SDBH in his place

And Yotam slept with his avot, and they buried him in Ir Dovid; and Achaz bno reigned in his place.
