You might read the entire Bible as a RANSOM NOTE. What God requires: "it is the BLOOD that maketh an atonement for the soul." We're talking about a RANSOM (redeeming or buying back someone from captivity). God required a LAMB. Without the blood of the LAMB, nobody could get out of Egyptian captivity. The Children of Israel had to be RANSOMED out of slavery. It was the BLOOD of the LAMB that got them out! Haven't you ever been to a Passover? Don't you know what we're talking about? And did you know that the Bible speaks about ANOTHER LAMB in Isaiah chapter 53, that HE was led to the "slaughter," this OTHER Lamb! And it says that God will see the travail, the trouble, the sorrow, the suffering of HIS soul and that GOD would be SATISFIED. The RANSOMER is satisfied! The RANSOM is paid!
Now let's make this personal. Let's say you've been buried alive in some kind of casket. And they put a straw down to you so you can breathe through the straw. And the RANSOM NOTE goes out. Now you're not going to say in that terrible condition, "O I hope that no one pays the ransom. Besides, it's really okay down here. I don't mind being buried alive. True, it's a little dark down here in this casket. It's a little bit hot. I can't breathe too well. But I don't want to see anyone bothered with a RANSOM NOTE. The Charles Lindbergh RANSOM NOTE in March 1932 regarding his baby was SO traumatic to Charles Lindbergh after he flew across the Atlantic. I don't want to put anyone through what he went through with a RANSOM NOTE!"
NO!!!!!!!!! You wouldn't say that! You would say, "Please! Please! The RANSOM has to be PAID!" Well, what does it say in Isaiah 53? It says God will see the travail and the sorrow and the trouble and the suffering of Messiah's soul and be SATISFIED! God will see the suffering of HIS soul! This LAMB led to the slaughter, it is HIS soul that will pay the RANSOM for "many."
