הַדָּבָ֗ר SDBH This is the word אֲשֶׁ֤ר SDBH that דִּבֶּר֙ SDBH spoke יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ SDBH Jeremiah הַנָּבִ֔יא SDBH the prophet אֶל־ to בָּר֖וּךְ SDBH Baruch בֶּֽן־ SDBH son נֵֽרִיָּ֑ה SDBH of Neriah בְּכָתְבוֹ֩ SDBH when he wrote אֶת־ SDBH - הַדְּבָרִ֨ים SDBH words הָאֵ֤לֶּה SDBH these עַל־ on סֵ֙פֶר֙ SDBH a scroll מִפִּ֣י SDBH at the dictation יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ SDBH of Jeremiah בַּשָּׁנָה֙ SDBH year הָֽרְבִעִ֔ית SDBH in the fourth לִיהוֹיָקִ֧ים SDBH of Jehoiakim בֶּן־ SDBH son יֹאשִׁיָּ֛הוּ SDBH of Josiah מֶ֥לֶךְ SDBH king יְהוּדָ֖ה SDBH of Judah לֵאמֹֽר׃ס SDBH . . .

The Davar that Yirmeyah HaNavi spoke unto Baruch ben Neriyah, when he had written these words in a sefer at the mouth of Yirmeyah, in the fourth year of Y'hoyakim ben Yoshiyah Melech Yehudah, saying,

כֹּֽה־ This is what אָמַ֥ר SDBH says יְהוָ֖ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi אֱלֹהֵ֣י SDBH the G-d יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל SDBH of Israel עָלֶ֖יךָ to you בָּרֽוּךְ׃ SDBH Baruch

Thus saith Hashem, Elohei Yisroel, unto thee, O Baruch:

אָמַ֙רְתָּ֙ SDBH You have said אֽוֹי־ SDBH Woe is נָ֣א . . . לִ֔י me כִּֽי־ because יָסַ֧ף SDBH has added יְהוָ֛ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi יָג֖וֹן SDBH sorrow עַל־ to מַכְאֹבִ֑י SDBH my pain יָגַ֙עְתִּי֙ SDBH I am worn out בְּאַנְחָתִ֔י SDBH with groaning וּמְנוּחָ֖ה SDBH rest לֹ֥א SDBH no מָצָֽאתִי׃ס SDBH and have found

Thou didst say, Oy to me now! For Hashem hath added sorrow to my machovim (sorrows); I am worn out in my groaning, and I find no menuchah.

כֹּ֣ה׀ Thus תֹּאמַ֣ר SDBH [Jeremiah] was to say אֵלָ֗יו to [Baruch} כֹּ֚ה This is what אָמַ֣ר SDBH says יְהוָ֔ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi הִנֵּ֤ה . . . אֲשֶׁר־ SDBH what בָּנִ֙יתִי֙ SDBH I have built אֲנִ֣י SDBH I הֹרֵ֔ס SDBH will demolish וְאֵ֥ת SDBH - אֲשֶׁר־ SDBH what נָטַ֖עְתִּי SDBH I have planted אֲנִ֣י SDBH - נֹתֵ֑שׁ SDBH and uproot וְאֶת־ SDBH - כָּל־ Throughout הָאָ֖רֶץ SDBH the land הִֽיא׃ SDBH . . .

Thus shalt thou say unto him, Hashem saith thus: Hinei, that which I have built will I tear down, and that which I have planted I will uproot, even this kol haAretz.

וְאַתָּ֛ה SDBH But as for you תְּבַקֶּשׁ־ SDBH do you seek לְךָ֥ for yourself גְדֹל֖וֹת SDBH great things אַל־ Stop תְּבַקֵּ֑שׁ SDBH seeking כִּ֡י For הִנְנִי֩ . . . מֵבִ֨יא SDBH I will bring רָעָ֤ה SDBH disaster עַל־ on כָּל־ every בָּשָׂר֙ SDBH living creature נְאֻם־ SDBH declares יְהוָ֔ה SDBH Hashem/Adonoi וְנָתַתִּ֨י I will grant לְךָ֤ - אֶֽת־ SDBH - נַפְשְׁךָ֙ SDBH your life לְשָׁלָ֔ל SDBH as a spoil of war עַ֥ל . . . כָּל־ but wherever הַמְּקֹמ֖וֹת SDBH . . . אֲשֶׁ֥ר SDBH - תֵּֽלֶךְ־ SDBH you go שָֽׁם׃ס SDBH . . .

And seekest thou gedolot (great things) for thyself? Seek them not; for, hineni, I will bring ra'ah upon kol basar, saith Hashem; but thy nefesh will I give unto thee for plunder in kol mekomot (all places) whither thou goest.
