וַיָּשֶׂם֩ SDBH imposed הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ SDBH Now King אֲחָשֵׁרֹשׁ SDBH Xerxes מַ֛ס SDBH tribute עַל־ throughout הָאָ֖רֶץ SDBH the land וְאִיֵּ֥י SDBH even to its farthest shores הַיָּֽם׃ SDBH . . .
And HaMelech Achashverosh laid a tribute upon the land, even to its distant shores.

וְכָל־ And all מַעֲשֵׂ֤ה SDBH accomplishments תָקְפּוֹ֙ SDBH powerful וּגְב֣וּרָת֔וֹ SDBH and magnificent וּפָרָשַׁת֙ SDBH together with the full account גְּדֻלַּ֣ת SDBH of the greatness מָרְדֳּכַ֔י SDBH of Mordecai’s אֲשֶׁ֥ר SDBH to which גִּדְּל֖וֹ SDBH had raised him הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ SDBH the king הֲלוֹא־ SDBH not הֵ֣ם SDBH are they כְּתוּבִ֗ים SDBH written עַל־ in סֵ֙פֶר֙ SDBH the Book דִּבְרֵ֣י SDBH of the Chronicles הַיָּמִ֔ים SDBH . . . לְמַלְכֵ֖י SDBH of the Kings מָדַ֥י SDBH of Media וּפָרָֽס׃ SDBH and Persia
And all the acts of his authority and of his might, and the parashat gedulat Mordechai (full account of the greatness of Mordechai), whereunto HaMelech advanced him, are they not written in the sefer of the divrei hayamim of the kings of Media and Persia?

כִּ֣י׀ For מָרְדֳּכַ֣י SDBH Mordecai הַיְּהוּדִ֗י SDBH the Jew מִשְׁנֶה֙ SDBH was second לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ SDBH only to King אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ SDBH Xerxes וְגָדוֹל֙ SDBH preeminent לַיְּהוּדִ֔ים SDBH among the Jews וְרָצ֖וּי SDBH and highly favored לְרֹ֣ב by his many אֶחָ֑יו SDBH kinsmen דֹּרֵ֥שׁ SDBH seeking טוֹב֙ SDBH the good לְעַמּ֔וֹ SDBH of his people וְדֹבֵ֥ר SDBH and speaking שָׁל֖וֹם SDBH peace לְכָל־ to all זַרְעֽוֹ׃ SDBH his countrymen
For Mordechai HaYehudi was next unto HaMelech Achashverosh, and gadol among the Yehudim, and esteemed of the multitude of his achim, seeking the tov of his people, and speaking shalom to all their zera.
