Preface- just like any ordinary book, an ibook
has a preface. It is a page which explains the scope, intention or background
of the ibook and it is written by the author.
Forward- is
a piece of writing sometimes placed at the beginning of the book. It is written
by someone other then the book’s author. who is knowledgeable on the topic.
Table of Contents – a list of divisions, and the pages on which they start. However, the formate for ibooks author has no
page for the table of contents because each chapter is visible at a glance on
the left hand side of the design during the process of putting ibook together.
Body of Book
– is divided into chapters with titles.
Steps to Create an
iBook
Download free app for iBook Author from apple store.
Choose Template
Adjust text box in title, select front for size.
Type in Title for Chapter 1 : Click on Add + Select Chapter then Select Chapter Text
Highlight words in Latin to delete. Find the box for single
column and click .
Type in your text.
Go to Add + at top to add a new page.
Click “return key “ when you reach bottom of page to get to
new page.
To get a new chapter, go to Add + click Chapter then Select Chapter
Text.
Written Document
To use a written document in WORD, to to
file labeled “document”
Click Open to get
to document.
Place curser before
first word in document, go down to last word in document with curse but do not click until you click on shift key now click curser. Document
becomes highlighted instantly.
Click on Copy in Edit
menu
Open iBook icon to get back to template.
Click on Paste in
Edit menu
Document will overflow and fill up pages because of lay-out
template prepared ahead.
